A naughty rascal!

Image
I deleted all Mommy's pictures from her iphone! The list of events that has happened need to be summarized in just one post! She is so frustrated with me. Actually, I had indeed became naughtier and really getting into her nerves. She tried not to use too much cane; knowing that Im not the usual Ray anymore Mom's expecting #2. According to the old myths, elder child will get very mischievious when the mother is carrying the 2nd child. So, at times she wonder how a mother of 2, mother of 3, mother of 4, etc.. (and the list goes on) actually able to handle so many kids at one go. One of the fateful events is; I fell down near my kitchen sliding door. Had a rather swollen blue black on my right forehead. A narrow escape as it didnt hit my eye though. Its also the first time I see Mommy cry though. I didnt hold back my tears too when I see her in tears. MOMMY MANAGED TO GET HOLD OF THE LOST PIC FROM YEE YEE (WHOM SHE SENT TO THE NIGHT I FELL) The next thing is; this Christmas ...

Xmas Gift-Playdoh

Image
My Xmas gift from Mom & Dad is 'Playdoh'... It is really fun and I played with Mommy, and I brought over to Por Por house to play with her and Yee Yee. Even Yee Yee is engrossed in making tiny little delicious foods using playdoh. Mom still remembered; back in her days - she & Yee Yee didnt have this luxury of toys before. So, now if there is good chance of receiving some gift from Mommy, she will buy something educational and yet meaningful for me to play... Most of my toys and stuffs are usually inexpensive though.

Yee Yee's Wedding 19.12.10

Wow, Yee Yee really look glamorous! And yes, she is my Yee Yee - Mommy's dearest and only sister.

Daddy's Birthday

Image
My third year of celebrating Daddy's birthday with him. Once again, we bought our all-time favourite - COCO Chocolate Cake (that has a thin layer of biscuit as the base of the cake) from Four Leaves. However, this time round, seems like the cake does not taste as good as before anymore. Well, anyway we sang a birthday song for Daddy and I made a wish together with him and blew the candles together. A simple and yet happy birthday celebration. Next year, we will have a new member in our family to celebrate Daddy's birthday!! See how I had enjoyed my chocolate cake... I love choc cakes but dun favour the actual chocolates though. Kinda weird. When Mom handed me a piece of small chocolate, I would tell her, "Eh, I cannot eat chocolate orh! Mommy, u forget right?"

Lazy Mommy

Image
Mommy is getting lazier due to the pregnancy hormones that are driving her crazy.. She getting more emo, feeling fatique and bad tempered. She was like this when I was in her tummy. So history is repeating itself once again. She has to keep reminding herself to keep her cool. Hopefully, all these tide over soon for her. Nowadays, she is trying her best to be at her 'top form' at work and in all the things she is doing. Hard though since lazy cells are more prominent for now. Lazy hormones, are the cons (not-so-good side) of the pregnancy... If we talk about pros (good side), there are of course many even for a second time Mommy. One thing that made Mom surprised is, she likes to take stock of herself recently. She loves to doll herself up more than usual and would love to look good. That is a distinctive difference; compared to having me in her tum. She didnt really bother how she looked like at then ( 3.5 years ago )...

Dim Sum @ Peach Garden

Image
It has been some time since we had our last Dim Sum.. Last we had was at Imperial @ Tampines One. So this time, we tried something new. Mom had googled and wanted to have at Dim Joy ... But after some thoughts, we decided Peach Garden should be pretty good since it has been there @ Thomson Plaza ages ago. We ordered ala carte instead of waiting for their Hi Tea Buffet.. since it was still early morning. Surprisingly, we find that Ala Carte is not as expensive than its buffet. Folks, u should give it a try.

Jigsaw Puzzle

Image
Mom bought a nice Barney Jigsaw Puzzle for me. She thought I would probably just treat it as a normal playdoh or may not even be interested in it. Because she just wanted to use "Barney" to arouse my interest... But instead, I kept bugging her to do the puzzle with me. Ended up, I know how to do the puzzle by myself; well at least 75% of it. I am not too sure of the centre parts of the picture. Mom thought me how to do the sides and edges of the picture first. Well, her teaching was very effective. This is just one of the ways to stimulate my brain cells.

Mommy's pregnant

Image
Yes, as the glitter describes - Mommy is pregnant again. She bought it from nearby 7-11; and got the shock of her life. She was not prepared to receive this unexpected results as she took it as just a random check, just in case. For now, its her start of her pregnancy journey. Alot of thoughts going thru her mind, all plans need to be re-scheduled. Come to think of it, this explained her edgy-ness and grumpiness all these weeks. As she looked back, it was so much different from having me in her tummy. Symptoms are different for one. And now, she loves to doll herself up a little better. So can we conclude it should be a different gender this time? Crossing finger on next visit... Mommy, Im sharing your pregnancy hormones as well. I seemed to have changed as well... naughtier.

My Maiden Holiday Trip (10~15Nov)

. . . Updating PICS... Coming Soon! . . .

Mineral Water

Image
But honestly, I just have a "thing" for mineral water somehow.. Perhaps it tastes a little bit different from the normal water. Or maybe to me; mineral water is like a "soft drink", something which Mom & Dad are drinking (though they drink green tea, ice lemon tea, etc) as well. I just want to act and be like the same like them. Actually it is not good to refill the mineral water bottle with normal drinking water again. The "chemicals" used to manufacture the bottles - are somehow harmful if we use them on long term basis.... Well, so Mom tried her very best to throw away the bottle without my knowledge...

Mega Blocks LEGO

Image
LEGO is some mega blocks which most toddlers would love to play with. They can build all different types of things like houses, animals, vehicles and all. For me, I built a long train. And I can indulge by myself, this long long Lego Train. Some time ago, Mom read it somewhere. The childcare centres in Singapore are encouraging their children spend more time on lego during their fun time/free time. When I was playing with the lego, I would at time, stopped and think, how should I place this piece with? And sometimes I will take out the other and replace something else. Mom saw it and felt; lego keeps my mind thinking and this should train my mind and brain cells. Hope to have some other good toys which can stimulate "all" my working cells.

Tomato Sauce

Image
It has been about 2 months since Mommy had stopped pen for awhile... She had been busy planning our holiday trip - spent a lot of efforts on this Free & Easy Vacation. We are not following the tour package. During this period, I had "cultivated" a habit... TOMATO SAUCE is my new companion in food now... French fries; pizzas, burger, I would need tomato sauce since its sweet. Mom thought it should fine because tomatoes have good vitamins.

Reading Habit

Image
Now every morning, Mom will make it a point to read 2 books to me before she leaves for work; after she dropped me off at childcare centre. I feel so delighted after each reading session with Mom. No doubt, they are always the same 2 books that I want her to read; I am already very contented. At times, Mom will ask for a different book instead... (well, I thought it should be the child asking to read a different book)... There's once, I repeated the words which Mom used to read from the book.. So, we believe that, reading really helps a lot in a child's development. Sometimes in the nite, I would like to read books before I sleep too... to the extent I refused to sleep because I WANT TO READ!... Should Mom be worried?

Beautiful Cream Cake

Image
God knows since when I started to favour CREAM CAKES... and it must be those fancyful, full of cream, colourful and animal figurines. Yee-Yee; spolit me by buying all kinds of cakes and jellies for me in the world... Honestly, its definitely not very healthy to consume too much but but!!!!, I really appreciate Yee Yee so much because I know she dotes on me and wanted me to have the best of everything.   Mommy, the next time, u must treat my cousin the same too yeah (YeeYee future child). Well, we are all looking forward to YeeYee's wedding on 19th Dec 2010; Grand Corpthorne Waterfront... I am counting down... to wear my nice little knitted vest over a white collar shirt. Wooh!

Bear's Diapers

Image
So much about wearing diapers... That day when I was at Por-Por house, Por-por attempted to change diapers for me since Mommy was sleeping. Since she has never use diapers before (during her time, it was all cloth nappy); she put the wrong side for me. In the end, I gotta correct Por-por and taught her the correct procedures. Well, since Im already equipped with this skill, I tried to wear diapers for my teddy bear as well. Hahahaa..... It looks very amusing to Mom. I even put the bear to "toilet" to poo and "wash" him up. Then change him into diapers. Its like a role-play game where I play Mommy's role and; the bear is playing my role.

Fav Fried Hor Fun

Image
On most Mondays, Mommy would not cook but pack dinner outside. Somehow, she really runs out of ideas what to cook everyday. So at times, she took an off day from Monday to pack something back "nicer" to share with me. I love the fried hor fun which Mom bought. Its thick dark brown gravy with fish cake just makes me drool for more. I will specifically self-feed myself - without the maid's help. Most of the times, I would ask the maid to feed me. In order to be more independent, Mom would give me more food and told me, "Okay Ray, u eat by yourself yeah. U see, you have so much food in your bowl." Then, I will nod my head. Here is an extract of Fried Hor Fun from Coffee Shops...

Doughnuts

Image
I still have a sweet tooth - love sweets, cakes, cookies and now, DOUGHNUTS. Today, we went to Singapore Natas Fair 2010 at Singapore Expo. After Mom had finished collecting all her "homework" (for my maiden trip this Nov 2010), we went to get some Doughnuts. I chose 2 - one with the fruit Strawberry and the other with cherry jam on it. When I got home, I quickly settled down and have them happily. To Mom's surprise, I only finished the strawberry, the chocolate cream and the cherry jam. Whatever had been leftover - remnances of the Doughnuts, I didnt want to carry anymore. Its such a waste of food of course, but nothing can force them into my throat. That's why sometimes, Mom hesitated to buy cream cookies or anything that has filling in between the biscuits or jam on top of the biscuits/cakes/bread; because the rest of the redundant pieces like biscuits/cakes/cookies/any other snacks WITHOUT MY FAVOURITE TOPPINGS (ja...

BUSY Mommy

For this whole week, Mom had over-worked and too busy to update my blog. In fact, her updates of blog is getting slower and lesser....  Poor Mommy - her company had gave her a laptop; rather all the other "team members" as well in the same department got one as well. At the end of the day, the moral of the story is to stay contactable and work from home (if necessary). Well, "If Necessary" is a good word to use but Mom was a workaholic in the past before she knew her Supportive Spouse (i.e. Dad). She could work from morning till night even mid-night. Since she has a family now, she is trying her best to create a good balance between work & family. Sometimes, its just so tough for her. Her temper is also not going good as well; due to insufficient rest, over-crushed of her brain... brain juice is drying up though. Mommy's thoughts: - During our younger years, we played and yelled like nobody's business. Discipline, limits, self-control,  responsbilit...

Cleaning Daddy's Car

Image
My love for cleanliness did not diminish as I grow. In fact, it gets stronger - broom, duster & cloth became my best friends. I do not only sweep/mop the floor at home, I clean windows (locked of course under maid's close supervision), clean the toilet; I even clean Daddy's car (interior) as well. Even a tiny bit of dust cannot escape my eyes. I will always need a wet cloth and a dry one - the wet cloth to clean and a dry cloth to wipe the "droplets" away. Today, it drizzled a bit. So I asked for both the cloths instead. But I realised - no matter how I cleaned, the car windows are still wet. I made a big fuss. Mom then explained to me; the rain had wet the exterior windows; whereas I was cleaning the interior side. That was why the window will never get dry.. Then for a moment, I stopped crying and thought for a good 5 seconds.. and realised it made sense.

Cant live without

Image
No doubt Im starting to have rice for dinner now; but at times - I still try to ask for some biscuits before dinner and especially in the morning before school. I will tell Mom, "Mommy, I don't want to go to school..." and started to fuss. As it is always the same old phrase every morning (from me the moment I woke up from bed), Mom will answer, "Okay (lo)". Then I keep quiet. The next moment, I went to look for biscuits and asked Mom if I can eat. Mom will say, "Okay, then u must go to school after biscuits". That's how she coaxed me to school almost every morning. Otherwise, she has to drag me to school; I would scream to the top of my voice until the whole neighborhood can hear me... teachers who stays the same block as us; asked Mommy about my cries... she felt kinda "embarrassed"though but well, afterall there is nothing much she can do about it.

Satay

Image
New Food - Satay I laid my hands for the first time; holding a satay stick made me feel good though since everyone was eating too. I guess I should not be left out as well. I tried a chicken satay and it tasted... well well well, its marvelous my gosh! I cannot stop though, stick after stick. Until I reached out for the 5th stick; not knowing its actually a pork satay, I started to munch on it. The pork meat is "more stiff" than the chicken, so I started to show a face and didnt want it anymore while halfway through. Indeed, right after that; I told Mom, "I dont want anymore". At the initial stage, it was a very pleasant experience but it didnt end up well though. Anyway, Mo wondered if I would eat satay again. Its a good try, eat least I get to taste all different types of foods. Daddy loves Satay and prefers Pork. To him, pork satay is softer than the chicken ones... But Mommy & myself think otherwise. She dun fancy Satay; few sticks are fine. I should ...

Packing my cookies

Image
Recently, I started to learn to pack most of my things - thanks to Mommy's constant nagging and "threats"... Hahahaa... perhaps I should not say threats but she used Daddy's name, some of my teachers' names to warn me to pack in case they (Daddy/Teachers) pop by our homes to spot him. Some of my teachers are just so kind. At times, either of them will come by to visit me (since they stay nearby or even same house block as me); just to say hello to me or during the times when Im sick, to see if I am well. Sometimes, I will throw tantrums of course - refused to keep and even ask Mommy to pack for me. Its a very bad habit. So no choice, Mommy has to think of ways to train me up since Im growing up fast now. I am picking up things fast, be it good or bad. Just only, I opened a new pack of biscuits and began to put them nicely into a container. Keeping her fingers crossed; Mom hopes its not only for my things that I would love to pack.

Sunny side up

Image
Just now, Mom fried an egg for our maid. I saw it and asked for one too! Mom was rather taken by surprise because she didnt know I like Sunny-Side Up egg until I blurted, "EH, I love this EGG eh!! I want, Mommy!". So she fried one for me.. Initially I only scooped up the egg yolk. I didnt want the egg white since it didnt look appealing. But when Mommy said, "Since u dont eat the egg white, Mommy will eat okay, baby?" After hearing this, I said, "NO NO, I want I want to eat! Mommy cannot eat." So I ended up finishing the whole egg. Actually, it started with my "greediness" and that explains why I will finish the whole piece of egg. So now, Mom knows how to handle similar situation. Of course at times, I will really let Mom finish the certain portion of foods which I dislike. Example, I dun like the leafy part of veggie. I prefer the stem instead since they are more crunchy. I never like fish but if I do not see them literally; Mom hid them by mi...

No eating in the car!

Image
Rule # 1: No Eating in the Car Rule # 2: No Eating in the Bedrooms Rule # 3: No Eating on the Sofa These are the three rules which Daddy had laid down for me. Since I love to carry a packet of biscuits wherever I go, I have to abide to all these "regulations". Its tough though because Im too stubborn to give in to rules. Most of the time, I defy them at home (for Rule # 2 and # 3) when Daddy is not around. But there is no way I can escape for Rule # 1- in the car. Since Daddy is driving, he will make sure I finish all my biscuits before getting into the car.. Poor Mommy has to accompany me, stand outside the car and ensure no bits of biscuits on my clothes and all before I get back to the car.. Well, I can hold the pack of biscuits unopened in the car, but I will bug Daddy - if I can eat them in the car. Sometimes both of them wonder; whats between me and my biscuits.. Yes, I have a thing for biscuits, all the delicious ones. Mind you, I know which are not-nice biscuits s...

Fixing my stroller

Image
Out of the blue, the wheel of the stroller just gave way and dropped out while we were making our way for lunch. Daddy gotta make a stop at the nearby bench to fix it. Being a busybody, I squatted to watch what went wrong. I asked a lot of questions and Daddy got quite pissed off actually. Being an inquisitive person, I just cannot help but shooting questions until I get an "understandable" answer from Daddy. Especially in the car; during the journey of either going out somewhere or on the way home, I will pop questions like, "Mommy, where are we going?!" OR "Are we going to somewhere?" OR "Where are all the buses?" OR "Where is the Police Car?"... etc. Sometimes, Mommy has to repeat her answers all over again and again, till she felt so exhausted that she directed them to her Supportive Spouse... Then Daddy will give me a very satisfactory answer. Mom wondered; could it because his answers are very straightforward and hence I didnt ...

Thoughts in the wee hours

Image
Nowadays, Mom's work is getting very hectic. She gotta leave home early so as to reach Office earlier to finish her ever-piling work. She works very hard; knowing that not much will be appreciated especially so in an MNC but she still dun bother but does her part.. I would say, very much - she is very dedicated in her job. If only she is more ambitious, she would be somebody by now. Talk about the past, well - she could have done so much more and she would be very much sucessful probably. This morning, as she was thinking about her past life experiences while waiting for the school to open in the wee hours; she had pinned all her hopes on me. She hopes that I would be "really" somebody in future... In this reality society, without knowledge and knowing more people; u could just be the small fry forever in your life.. Well, if I can make big - I will not need to slog and work so much harder.. So in short, education is so important...

Dancing away

God knows since when I started to learn dancing... As Mom played the song "Nobody" by Wonder Girls , I started to shake my bum bum; kick my legs and so on...My gestures look so cute though. My teachers ever mentioned to Mom before; that I love to dance and sing in the class at times... I should have "brought" the songs and dance moves back to home and I really did. Well, of course it is good to see that I love to "move" around, my bum bum.. to be more specific.. I wouldnt want to appear to look so boring! I would love to dance with Mom the next time yeah.

Raincoat

Image
Raincoat - one of the preps for my maiden trip. Noticed the recent heavy downpour that we have in Singapore here; we are only in July and yet the rainfall is for days with thunderstorms often in the wee hours. By the time I got ready for school, it is still drizzling at times. So, in order to ease Mom's burden of carrying me in her arms under an umbrella with all the bags, she got me a raincoat instead. Seems from Disney, a thicker material though. Prior to that, Mom had done a google search on forums; which type of raincoats are better... In fact, the softer ones (that can be bought from pasar malam, wet market, provision shop houses) that priced at less than SGD 5.00 seems to receive more compliments.. because of its more-flexible material, it provides more comfort for the kids. The seems-harder ones are those like under Disney and

My personal soup

Since the day I started having proper meals during dinnertime, I noticed everyone (Daddy, Mommy & maid) has their own bowl of soup. Because of this, I demanded to have my own bowl as well. But since I was not catered in initially, I "grabbed" Mom's instead. God knows when I became so demanding.. I disallowed Mom to drink "my soup" (despite the fact; it was her share in the first place). She got really angry at first, not because I drink hers but towards my "selfish character"; refused-to-share kind of characteristic that worries her. In order to eliminate such situations (whereby Mom has to spent tons of time explaining to me about sharing and be kind), she decides to serve a separate bowl of soup, solely for me only. That solves the entire problem altogether. After that, I know this is my personal soup; everyone has a bowl including me... Instead, I learnt about the rule of being fair within the family, a fair share. Actually, raising a toddler ...

I love Ice-Cream!

Image
This is simply an irrisistable treat ~ Ice Cream... Every child will love it for sure because of its cold sensation. Mom started to let me try a bit of it some time ago and gradually I began to ask for it everytime Daddy bought a Mac Sundae for himself... ( why didnt he buy one cup for me, solely for me I meant... as well? Sob sob ). Anyway, I prefer the Chocolate Sundae, rich creamy chocolate makes me drool. And because of my love for choc, I started to be more fussy in my choice of food again. Nowadays, I do not fancy strawberry flavour anymore, but will ask for either chocolate or peanut butter flavour. These sinful flavours are culprits to my recent cough. Mom tried to change my tastebuds here and there by introducing some new "flavours" to me... but my stubborn character refused to give in to try new stuffs.. (unless they really look delicious and appealing).... urghhhh..... dun ask me to try those brown-looking stuffs and, no green veggies please~

Passport Photo

Image
Mom finds it hard to take a good potrait photo of me even though I had grown older i.e. 3 years old. I will fidget around, can't stand still at all even for that few seconds. Thank God, she managed to snap it at that moment of second when I stopped moving and look into the camera. I got fed up one of the shots because I just cannot get the pose right!! This is one of the preparation for my 1st maiden holiday trip - Applying an International Passport. I do not have any passport-sized photo, so Mom took one for all future uses (in case besides for Passport). Mom's Passport expired - so we will apply online in order to enjoy the SGD 10 waiver off the application fee. Anyway, Mom feels very excited though.. not really about the trip but more in the process of preparations and all. There are so many things to look into in fact... She is reading up on webby like; Travelling with A Toddler, Toddler Checklist, ...etc. More updates to come on our preparatio...

A BIG BUS

Image
Days passed; still did not manage to find any model double-decker bus. Instead, we were taking a walk along the "Pasar-malam" (Street Market). This BIG double-decker bus caught my attention. I yelled, "Mommy, see! Big big bus is here!". So Mom grabbed one of them and thought its a "good catch" for now. At least in the near future, I will not be asking any more "big-big bus" from Mommy. I carried the bus whenever I go (outside). Even when I play at home, I will line my 3 buses up (from the smallest, to the medium and then to this biggest bus). To me, its fun enough.

I am studying with my Mommy!

Image
Usually during the weekends, I will play with some toys and do some reading of my worksheets (Workbook given by the school). Sometimes, I got too carried away - I ended up drawing, coloring my worksheets all over; floor full of toys; with sweets, paper clips and all nonsense, u name it, u will see it. Mom decides to buy some exercise books, to "study" with me instead. The vital part of studying is not only about reading but to be able to write. So, I started off with simple numbers & alphabets. It was tough at first but fun! She hopes to prepare me for my Kindergarden class in about a year plus' time. Hopefully, it will be smooth sailing by then. Nowadays, its not only about the standard of living that had went up. Our schools here, had raised their standards higher as well. Whatever Mommy had studied in Primary 2-3 (very junior level) is being taught in Primary 1 instead. If we do not keep up with the pace; its no longer about losing out to people anymore. It will be...

Wonderful maze

Image
By looking at this picture, I really stop and wonder - how did I ever get onto one of the chairs without moving or shifting any one of them? Well, I did it. Mom didnt carry me in (which everyone might have thought so). It was too fast for Mom to capture that sight. I made my way through by some climbs and there I was, sitting on it. Funny part is; I can get onto the chair but unable to come down from it.. Actually, my baby-hood evolved with alot of weirdo play-dohs... cotton wool, sweets, socks, utensils, paper clips, pencils, bits and pieces of papers (cut by me)...etc. I would pack them in a plastic bag / paper bag and carry it whenever I walk in the house and even to outdoors for a meal. I would place the plastic bag (full of my "rubbish") carefully beside me in the stroller, with my water bottle on the other side; my sweetie bolster in front of me. Seems I love to be "surrounded" by things, stuffs... perhaps to feel more secure. But definitely not like the abov...

I want bigger bus

Image
This is the 2nd bus I have so far for now. I am still very much fascinated by the buses, bigger bus. Mom is looking for a model bus - SBS Transit Bus double decker bus (the one that is handicap-friendly). Until now, she still have not found one. One of her colleagues suggested to call SBS Transit up, to check it out. Perhaps they may know where to get these model buses... But of course, Mom didnt try and call either. Maybe Toys R'us will carry this model one day since they already carry taxi model cars. There are friends whom asked - are you gonna let Ray be a bus driver in future? Or why bus instead of toy cars? Well, question pops after one another. Mom brushed them away by saying, "Uhmm, not necessary a driver but how about becoming a world-renowed designer that design buses in the world!" Urghh, anyway - these are just some gestures of speech. Actually Mom would prefer a better ambition. It would be nice if Ray can have his own clinic though, Mom thought.
