Insect / Bug Bite again!



Dunno why, but I got bitten again at home this time! Since am still young, I do not know how to sooth myself from the itchiness but kept scratching non-stop... Eventually, it becomes a swelling "pig hand" now. Both my hands got the same type of bite. As Mom was still contemplating to buy California Baby Calendula Cream; she applied Balsam Cream instead...



Seems good and effective as it dries up the "pus" (transparent liquid ozzing out from the bites) quickly the next day. It minimise the itchiness and gives a cooling effect. Dad asked a friend to buy from Indonesia - which is relatively cheaper. Perhaps of the weather here in Singapore; getting very unpredictable nowadays, more mosquitoes at home and childcare centres... Insect repellent is not really working at this time... The bites left some "scars" on my skin due to prolonged scratching.

Mei Mei can walk!!! At 16 months exactly! And so, we captured this beautiful snapshot of her, standing by our door. The old generation was saying, little babies should start to walk at the age of 12-13 month. If it passes, the next lucky month will be 16th month. Well, whether it's plain coincidence or really the truth, Mei did start walking at the age of 16 months. Not stable yet of course, but it's a good start! Somehow, we just feel that Mei Mei has grown up by this picture. She has grown from a tiny pea to now, looks like a fine young lady to us, whom knows how throw tantrums, babbles to herself & giggles very loudly.

Dermoid Cyst

Mei Mei had went for her appointment on her Dermoid Cyst; at her right eyebrow area. It is pretty obvious as she grows older. The Doctor finally decided to operate on her after Mom & Dad insisted. Honestly, they didnt have a very good impression on the KKH Doctors afterall since Mei Mei's hospitalisation. During the 1st appointment on the dermoid cyst, the doctor was still okay. He explained everything in great details to my 2 old folks...and waited patiently for the 2nd appointment which was supposed to be due in 2 months time. But because the cyst seems to get larger, we had brought forward the appointment date & insisted something to be done straightaway. He only sent Mei Mei for some ultra-scan; which turned out to be fine, PHEW!!! 2nd Doctor SUCKS, I would say! Yes, still at KKH we are talking about.
