Journey to Walking Part VI

There she is, trying to stand & hold for a few seconds before squatting down... Now, she can hold more firmly onto handles and shift her legs a little. There was a little accident too, she "clipped" her own pinky finger (last finger) when she tried to open the shelf & closed it while not noticing that her finger was in between the door & the shelf.. She started to bawl only after about 5 seconds... That was a slow response but babies are usually like this when they were not so aware of their surroundings yet.

Mei Mei can walk!

Mei Mei can walk!!! At 16 months exactly! And so, we captured this beautiful snapshot of her, standing by our door. The old generation was saying, little babies should start to walk at the age of 12-13 month. If it passes, the next lucky month will be 16th month. Well, whether it's plain coincidence or really the truth, Mei did start walking at the age of 16 months. Not stable yet of course, but it's a good start! Somehow, we just feel that Mei Mei has grown up by this picture. She has grown from a tiny pea to now, looks like a fine young lady to us, whom knows how throw tantrums, babbles to herself & giggles very loudly.
