Umbrella



A brolly is always very convenient whether it rains or shines (it is horrendously warm nowadays). Recently, I had learnt to put an umbrella in my schoolbag. Actually, Mom wanted to get a raincoat for me. But there is no suitable size for me though. Anyone knows?

Very often, I wanted to open the umbrella and play in the house. But Mom and Dad didnt allow and get even more agitated if I go against them. For the chines; opening up an umbrella in the house will bring bad luck. There are some who believes bad luck will occur by opening an umbrella indoors as it offend the household gods; with a misinterpretation that their protection against the "Elements" are insufficient.

Strangely umbrella is considered as an lucky item to be brought around, even on a sunny day in India.

Mei Mei can walk!!! At 16 months exactly! And so, we captured this beautiful snapshot of her, standing by our door. The old generation was saying, little babies should start to walk at the age of 12-13 month. If it passes, the next lucky month will be 16th month. Well, whether it's plain coincidence or really the truth, Mei did start walking at the age of 16 months. Not stable yet of course, but it's a good start! Somehow, we just feel that Mei Mei has grown up by this picture. She has grown from a tiny pea to now, looks like a fine young lady to us, whom knows how throw tantrums, babbles to herself & giggles very loudly.

Dermoid Cyst

Mei Mei had went for her appointment on her Dermoid Cyst; at her right eyebrow area. It is pretty obvious as she grows older. The Doctor finally decided to operate on her after Mom & Dad insisted. Honestly, they didnt have a very good impression on the KKH Doctors afterall since Mei Mei's hospitalisation. During the 1st appointment on the dermoid cyst, the doctor was still okay. He explained everything in great details to my 2 old folks...and waited patiently for the 2nd appointment which was supposed to be due in 2 months time. But because the cyst seems to get larger, we had brought forward the appointment date & insisted something to be done straightaway. He only sent Mei Mei for some ultra-scan; which turned out to be fine, PHEW!!! 2nd Doctor SUCKS, I would say! Yes, still at KKH we are talking about.
