#1 Jelis

So much on the cake & food, Mom had realised none of them had signify the NUMBER ONE which is the actual theme of the celebration. It should be my 1st Year celebration, err... but seems like Mom is preparing for her OWN birthday.. dude. Hee... Well, usually most people will have their cake either in the mould of a Number-1, or wording as "1st", "one"...etc. Others may use the "Number-1" candle as a symbolism.

In the past (back to history.. long long time ago), the older generation prefer cake to be in the shape of 1 and its a must. They will have whipped cream as the skirting round the cake... a favorite or famous cartoon character on the face of the cake followed by some DIY cream that outlines the cartoon. Then, they will have translucent cream to colour the cartoon...

Hello, Aunty Annie, sure you remember the last conversation you had wz Mom during lunch huh.. hiak hiak hiak...

Anyway, seriously, thats how Mom's 1st Year cake looks like okay; about twenty (plus) years ago... And, this is the traditional type of cake which I believe can still be "found"... And and, Im quite sure Po-po will question Mommy, "Aye, why isn't there a number 1 on the cake har???"... Mom bet Popo will pop this (and so are the other old folks...), so she get ready a nice jelis which has a BIG Number 1....
