Emo Mommy

Mommy is emo again... She is feeling upset that Mei Mei is borned small & no one can understand how she feels. Mei Mei is indeed a cute happy baby. She has no other flaws except smaller than the usual babies at the age of one. She is responding well & eating well but seems not enough. Problem is; she don't really trust her care-giver which is the maid. She can't really entrust feeding habits to the maid yet; afterall, maid is still very new. Mom is a full-time working mother; basically comes home & rushes like a mad woman to cook & prepare everybody's dinner. There is not much time to really feed Mei Mei except eating with mom.

Mei Mei already started to eat rice & almost all kinds of foods that are healthy which Mom is taking as well. She really hopes that Mei Mei will really catch up by the age of 2; just like what all other doctors been telling her. Being a Mom is not easy but a Mom to a preemie is even tough. To put up with people's gossips & sayings about Mei Mei looking small, thin is even worse. Well, time to introduce even more nutritious foods to Mei Mei. Mom's colleague recommended one egg per week. Hope it really works a little.

Mei Mei can walk!!! At 16 months exactly! And so, we captured this beautiful snapshot of her, standing by our door. The old generation was saying, little babies should start to walk at the age of 12-13 month. If it passes, the next lucky month will be 16th month. Well, whether it's plain coincidence or really the truth, Mei did start walking at the age of 16 months. Not stable yet of course, but it's a good start! Somehow, we just feel that Mei Mei has grown up by this picture. She has grown from a tiny pea to now, looks like a fine young lady to us, whom knows how throw tantrums, babbles to herself & giggles very loudly.

Dermoid Cyst

Mei Mei had went for her appointment on her Dermoid Cyst; at her right eyebrow area. It is pretty obvious as she grows older. The Doctor finally decided to operate on her after Mom & Dad insisted. Honestly, they didnt have a very good impression on the KKH Doctors afterall since Mei Mei's hospitalisation. During the 1st appointment on the dermoid cyst, the doctor was still okay. He explained everything in great details to my 2 old folks...and waited patiently for the 2nd appointment which was supposed to be due in 2 months time. But because the cyst seems to get larger, we had brought forward the appointment date & insisted something to be done straightaway. He only sent Mei Mei for some ultra-scan; which turned out to be fine, PHEW!!! 2nd Doctor SUCKS, I would say! Yes, still at KKH we are talking about.
