Be a sport

Mom wants me to lead a healthier lifestyle as I grow older. So she started to plan some extra-curriculum activities" for my future?? She was looking at Taekwondo - which can train up my stamina and built as well since I like to "slap" or hit people nowadays.. Probably, I would end up offending more people. So, having this special skill can provide some self-defence? Nah... kidding anyway. Well, her main purpose is honestly for my good self-defence and another would be a skill to acquire so that next time, should I not be "academic-fit", I can at least be a Taekwondo Instructor... Sounds kinda amusing but somehow it should have more advantages. Today, we went to one of the Community Centres for a stroll. We saw some group of youngsters practicing " WU SHU " (Martial Arts). As I watched how they play with the poles; I made a good imitation though. I used the straw, asked my maid and kor-kor to stand around to form a circle as what the Wu Shu members did...

Button by myself

Image
Every morning, I will make it a point to button my own uniform whenever I can. At times, I will seek help from Mommy especially when am just too lazy. But Mom noticed that; as days go by, I tend to button faster and faster.. this would mean I am more familiar with buttons and know the reason for their presence now (dude)... One of the milestones --- to be able to button up without assistance. My next step is to brush teeth on my own, and of course with rinsing water as well.

Playing the slide

Finally, Mom bucked up the courage - allow me to play the slide. She always have the thinking that I may just fall off the slide halfway through. But she has forgotten a fact; and that is I had grown up, a two-and-a-half year old toddler. This Friday, my school will be organising an indoor playground activity (out of the school). Last year, I did not have the chance to go. This time, Mom feels that I should exposed myself to this type of environment. So am going! Hope to be able to post some pics if there is.

Happy Birthday Mommy!

Rabbit - Mommy's role

Image
Yeeyee had given me a Rabbit - haa, Mommy used it for some role-play with me.. Fun though but quite boring for Mom. So you see, having a kid is not just being pregnant and giving birth to it, feed the baby, make sure the baby is well-clothed. We babies, toddlers - need to be "entertained", we want our parents to spend quality time with us. Couple of weeks back, Mom's company has a team-building program held at Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Because of me; she forgo the chance to go and stayed in Office instead. To Mom, it is a sacrifice made. SHe can jolly well let go and just go for the trip. But she did not have second thoughts about it at all. To her, nothing is more important than spending time with me. Anyway, I am too obssessed with Mommy. In the middle of the night, I will scream for Mommy and there was a time - Daddy tried to be Mom's substitute instead, got a hell from me. I made a big fuss and make sure Mommy comes to me. A time without Mommy - its not something...

Bring my file

Image
Since I am promoted to Nursery One, I am given a file and am supposed to bring to School every Monday. When com to Friday, this same file will be returned to Mommy with a Performance Record Slip that showed my progress in School, what I had learnt.. etc. A good communication between Mommy & the School aside the normal Communication Notebook they have. I would say, I had really learnt alot in school despite the cryings (again) almost every morning when Mommy left for work from my school. Sometimes as Parents; one really need to learn to let go and what chinese believe "Close One eye"... Put aside of the disadvantages in School of course, I would say its quite a balance with the advantages... Well, nothing is perfect.. No matter what type of childcare a toddler receives, at the end of the day - its all about learning, growing up in different environments with a different care-giver. Now, I would consider myself as bilingual to a certain extent. Sometimes, I will use Mandari...

Peer Pressure?

Image
A week break ~ I was down with cough and sick for almost a week. Mom was busy looking after me in the night.. So, last week was a tiring one for both of us. I had recovered somehow; still some light coughing away though. I tried to cough out the phlegm that is stucked. Cough medication is drowsy; so Mom cut down the dosage from twice to once a day now. I seem to have a liking towards all medication. At the end of the day, I am always the one "reminding" Mom ~ I want to eat medicine right after my bath in the night. in my throat, but failed. Yesterday, we went to Expo to grab some deals. We had a simple brunch just outside Expo. I had a (huge) muffin then. Normally, Mom has to feed me since am still quite reluctant to eat by myself. This time, I refused to let Mom do so. I wanted to hold the muffin in my hand bite from it instead. The difference is - In the past, I do not like to bite from cake/muffins, as I find it very messy. It will leave crumbs on my mouth, face.. So, I rat...

Put my stroller to rest

Image
As we went down to wait for Daddy for dinner, I insisted to hold my stroller instead. I "dragged" the stroller as I walked out of the lift and to the void deck stone table. What surprised Mommy is - I conveniently put my stroller to "rest" on one of the stone stool. I should have noticed Mommy doing this repeatedly most of the time; I picked it up from her. Mommy is happy and glad that Im really getting more and more sensible now... But of course my tantrums are still there and sometimes explanation does not help at all. I will insist my stand and persist till the end. Thats the thing that gets into "Mom's nerves"... Anyway, with a stroller makes Mom's shopping much easier. At the least, I do not ask to be carried most of the time. Usually I will doze off in the stroller after being "pushed" for awhile. Wonder how will it be in a foreign land (sitting in my stroller)... sounds like a great family holiday coming soon yeah!

Cooking? I want A kitchen Station!

Image
Almost everyday in the early evening (after we reached home from school)... I would looked at how Mom cook the dishes; I observed and ended up playing with all the utensils from the kitchen drawer - having my own role-playing.. Im the chef yeah~ Of course it will be nice if I can have a kitchen set instead.. But we all know its costly to own one. Take a look at some delightful ones below. We have one at school though. Mom saw it when she fetched me (from the other school bay; we have 2 school bays/classrooms). I was happily enjoying it and nearly cant bear to go home. No doubt usually kitchen sets are played by little princesses, but alot of boys love it it. So maybe that explains why most of the hotel/restaurant chefs are male??

My new bed

Image
I had my own single bed finally! Actually, Mom wanted to get a double instead but there is no room for it. Since am sharing room with Mommy, we have to get a smaller bed. We bought it together with Disney bedsheet from John Little sale... Nice to sleep though but of course this is no compared to the better ones like Sealer which I love to sleep on in Mommy's room... Anyway, this will be my permanent bed for now.

My Watch

Image
Yee-yee (mommy's sis) bought a winnie pooh watch for me... It gives our neon light and shine a pooh down0light when I press the watch button. Pretty cool. I always played with Daddy's watch and I either wear it over my wrist that looked over-sized (obviously) or I kept pressing the backlight... Fun to play with and now with my own watch, I didnt want to wear it too long though. I ended up playing with it than to make full use of it. I may learn to appreciate time as I grow older.

Big Orange

Image
Por-por bought a very BIG orange for me; specially to make "orange juice" for me.. Uhmm, Mommy did tried a bit but didnt seem to like it as it is not sweet enough. But I loved it though. Mom used to love sour, spicy and didnt like sweet/salty stuffs.. But ever since preggie with me, she began to take up very-sweet or very-salty foods and till now. So, she starts to cut down quite a lot nowadays... On the other hand, I do love sweet and salty foods too. Thats the reason why Mom loves it now because the old myths said - what the preggie Mommy like to do/eat/behave; the same child will be borned... Anyway, I appreciate Por-por's thoughts. Orange is a good source of Vit C, so it is good to eat/drink twice weekly at least according to her. No fear for phlegms though.... But Mom is.

Fish Farm

Image
Daddy brought us to one of the famous Fish Farms here; near our place @ Pasir Ris.. There are many people whom like to prawn and fish here as well. We are also allowed to buy food to feed the fish. Rather amazed by the different species of fish; I started blankly at some of the fish and even refused to go near them. Not a bad experience. I always bugged Mommy to bring me to the fish shop (opposite our house). But when it comes to the real array of fish, I dun dare to go near or even walk past them...
