Mooncakes 月餅

Today we went to Takashimaya to buy our mooncakes as usual. Regent is always our hot favorite. Their skin is not too thick & tasty by itself. The filling is neither sticky not chewy; just nice as you swallow it through your throat, you can smell the nice flavor...

Last year, we had Yam Mooncake from Peony; honestly but sorry, it didnt taste that well. We were rather regretful. So we rather stick to the same this year ~ 珍味 is still the best.

We had snowskin from Regent last year. This year, we have a change; bought from Fairmont (formerly known as Westin Stamford. Wow, it's not really that dear and Mom & Dad love it because these little mini ones have liquor content.Their Bailey's Chocolate is worth a try. We had Sheraton's White Chocolate mooncake for the past 2 years. This time, Fairmont's White Chocolate mooncake is comparable. Daddy said this is better than Sheraton's.
Then we had Bakerzin for a new try. The box is exquisite. And mom can use it for.. like a chest of mini drawers. So cute & useful huh. Their mooncake have melon seeds in the filling, well the seeds do not stick in between your teeth for one. Smell is pretty good. The box has instructions to give you directions in enjoying your mooncakes to the fullest by warming them up in Hi Heat for 20 Secs. Dad gave it a try and yes, it did taste rather good, warm and looks like "fresh from stove".
You guys must be wondering why is Mom & Dad are indulging in so many types of mooncakes... That's simply because they believe; being able to sit down side by side each other, and enjoy mooncakes together every year is a blessing. BOO!!
