Angry Bird Lantern

Image
Mom was flipping through her album and found one ANGRY BIRD Lantern picture which we forgot to blog about. Mom bought this lantern from the motherhood spree, which was rather popular - it was only priced at SGD 5.90 each with batteries included. Some of the mommies complained about the battery making the handles very scorching hot. Mom thought she wont be the unlucky one because the spree organiser said, she will do a QC before posting the rest of the lanterns out. Anyway, we got our lantern at then; indeed the lantern handle was extremely hot after we turned on the lantern. So what Daddy did was; he took out the batteries that looked almost "melted" from the hot handle; put another set of new batteries in. There!!! The handle no longer felt hot anymore. Well, we dunno whats the problem, but it was resolved. In short, we cannot expect much from bulk purchase items especially when their prices are relatively lower. Mom didnt mind buying from bulk-purchase because she expec...

Loots from Robinsons Expo

Image
Today Mommy went to shop for some cookies again for me. Again, alot cannot understand my love for cookies. This time round, we tried Cookies from Taiwan -- bought from Robinson Expo Sale . Talk about expo sale, realised Robinson, JL, Metro are always taking turns at Expo. So even if you had missed out certain goodies, be sure to catch the next one coming up... Toys are one of the best grabs but not all are interesting. This time round, Mom got some crayola color pens for me.. some books of course *boring* She wanted to get some interesting board games for me but guess am too young for it. Wait till I get older; I will be able to understand more things and perhaps more obedient??

F1 with Daddy

Image
Mei Mei could not take her eyes off from the tv at all as the sounds of the F1 racing cars raced through her ears. So Mom decided to let her have a fair share of watch with Daddy & myself. I was chatting happily (in fact, bombarding Daddy with questions related to F1 which nuisanced him alot) with Daddy while Meimei was so engrossed into the whole race. Her eyes did not even blink. Mom thought that I was too focused in the things I do frequently, to the extent that I do not like distrubances or even anybody calling me. I just want to do my things by myself... LONER?? But anyway, Meimei is even "MORE" focused than I do. If she is into something, say staring into some lightings from a distance, she will just continue to look at it until Mommy walks away. Not to mention TV, it is as though she was fully absorbed into the TV. Mom didnt like the influence of TV on the both of us. Honestly, she wanted very much to deprive us from watching unnecessary TV programs such as cart...

Ready for K1?

Image
Its really time for me to get ready for Kindergarten 1 next year. Lately, I had been playing & making din, hell lot of noise during the weekends when am at home. So, if Mei Mei is at home, there is no way for her to sleep at all. I would scream & shout despite Mom's numerous reminders & even canings. Because of this, I got rather rebellious and can be quite rude to Mom. Nowadays, Mom had to use soft approach but firm/stern attitude towards me. At times when she lose control, she also shouted at me because I simply cant put her instructions into my mind.  Perhaps its because Im feeling very left out when Mei Mei is around. I wanted Mom's attention, I want to be carried & loved by Mom, like what she is doing to Mei Mei. Well, I know things are different now because Mei Mei is still young. Mom did take time to explain to me; I listened & looks as though I will definitely obey her... but soon forgotten all about it the next day.  The other day when I was out w...

I had mooncake!

Image
For the past few years, I had been munching mooncake at every Mooncake Festival. I was like one year old, then two year old followed by three year old. Honestly, I wasnt that sure of my taste buds at then, so I just eat whatever I think its sweet. And yes, I still love sweet stuffs.    This year, I am four years old. And of course its different. I had learnt to make choices for the past 1 year or two. I started to reject foods that I do not think they are nice. I even say NO to food even though I had tasted them before once or twice or even previously. For this, I prefer Regent Hotel Mooncake of course. Because its sweeter than any other mooncakes. Bakerzin, I had one mouth and I shook my head right after that when given the 2nd serving. You can say, I have a fussy tastebud but I usually prefer to eat something that LOOKS Nice. Honestly, mooncakes do not look that appealing especially those brown skinned ones. So I do like snowskin, any flavours. And brown skinned ones, luc...

Outing with Aunty Helen & Avrielle

Image
Today we went out to meet Aunty Helen & Avrielle. I was so excited in the morning; kept hushing Mommy & asked her to hurry up. Anyway, we met at nearby Tampines Mall, had Long John Silver for lunch.  Then we walked around to play; and I held Avrielle's hand to walk.. Actually she initiated to hold my hand first? See the way we walked, irregardless of banging, people bang us, we bang people, or any disruptions, we didnt let loose our hands but walked together hand in hand... Honestly, the above picture really look very sweet & heartwarming. We also played together & headed to Kiddy Palace for a round of patrolling around the toys and stuffs.  Honestly, it was really a nice experience altogether. It was my first time to hold a girl's hand to walk around the shopping mall; and spent the most time with. Usually, 75% my time is spent in my school. The remaining time is at home or Po Po house. I wont have any extra time with friends except with Javier sometimes ...

Mooncakes 月餅

Image
Today we went to Takashimaya to buy our mooncakes as usual. Regent is always our hot favorite. Their skin is not too thick & tasty by itself. The filling is neither sticky not chewy; just nice as you swallow it through your throat, you can smell the nice flavor... Last year, we had Yam Mooncake from Peony; honestly but sorry, it didnt taste that well. We were rather regretful. So we rather stick to the same this year ~ 珍味 is still the best. We had snowskin from Regent last year. This year, we have a change; bought from Fairmont (formerly known as Westin Stamford. Wow, it's not really that dear and Mom & Dad love it because these little mini ones have liquor content.Their Bailey's Chocolate is worth a try. We had Sheraton's White Chocolate mooncake for the past 2 years. This time, Fairmont's White Chocolate mooncake is comparable. Daddy said this is better than Sheraton's. Then we had Bakerzin for a new try. The box is exquisite. And mom can use it for.....

我愛油條!

Image
Dunno since when; I started to like crispy foods.. which means heaty foods. Like deep fried chicken 'skin', deep fried tofu skin, crispy chips !! One of the mornings, we were looking for some foods for breakfast. As usual, because I'm fussy, Mom needs to specifically look for certain food that is to my liking. Then we bypass a stall selling all the kuey kuey. Mom pointed out the 油條 & ask me if I want. To her surprise, I nodded my head readily. I even told her I WANT TWO. Mom said, "See, already 2 pieces but stick together.". The stall holder smiled at Mom wittiness. Anyway, I enjoyed eating this oily sticks & finished them all!

Mei Mei can flip

Finally, Mei Mei can flip & turn easily.. Nowadays, whenever we put her lie-flat, she will turn & turn non stop. Just wondering; why babies love to flip & turn once they master the skill of it? Could it be because it's too boring to just lie flat there? Or because of discomfort? Anyway, time to be extra alert to Mei Mei for now. No putting her on higher beds without supervision... The next milestone will be sitting up by herself.

Girlfriends Boyfriends

Ray: Today got new gal-Jaime. Everyone keep saying Jaime Jaime Jaime!! Mom: Why? She is your new gf? Ray: Yar! Mom: So fast?! How many gf do u have actually? Ray: Many, 1 2 3 4! 4 gfs!! Mom: Why u got so many? Ray: Not many Mommy! I have more BFs!!! Mom: (Gay???)

I drink soup by myself

Image
Teacher taught us to put our face near to the soup bowl to drink soup, so that we will not drip the soup. Mom was delighted to see that I had indeed learnt and willing to listen to the school teacher (INSTEAD OF TO HER & dad)... Yup, in fact Dad & Mom had told me umpteen times to put the bowl near to myself in order not to spill. But no matter how many 10 times they repeated to me, it never get into my ears. But just one word from the teacher, I obeyed and even did it at home. That's the wonders of having a good teacher. Good teachers are really hard to come by. Am glad I have one & many more at Sparkletots.

I'm sad w Mommy

Image
This morning was chaotic. Mom didn't sleep well because Mei Mei did not doze off immediately after milk feeds. She turned here and there, tossed & flipped. Mom had to repeatedly carried her up & down the bed to make her sleep. Carried Mei Mei in her arms for 10-15 mins to rock her like in a sarong didn't even work out. She even had an argument with Dad because of this. It wasn't q good night afterall. Anyway, I was saying ---- it was chaotic this morning because Mom woke up late, all other processes became late with a snowball effect. I was grumbling about hunger & wanted breakfast. At first refused bread but gave in eventually since I knew I had no other choices. Today was even my first time put on school uniform solely ALL BY MYSELF. so see, I can do it actually! Then out of the blue, I asked to brush my teeth!!!! Mom angrily asked me to get Daddy to help me while age was in a huff preparing Mei Mei's stuffs. Just when we were all ready to leave; I ...

Teething Ring

Image
Mom finally bot some new teething rings for Mei Mei. Dun think she should use mine since been quite a number of years ago. Since I'm smaller still, Mom bought small petite rings for her. Cute huh, from Bright Starts... Next upgrade will be something with black & white colours for monitoring skills. Her griping (grasping) skill is not too good still. Still trying to control the holding & observing...
