New Jelly



The very traditional type of jelly that was well-loved by many kids during Mom's generation (in the 1980s), has new packaging that looks "healthier" & more appealing.

I am always given one of them if I behave well in school. It serves as a reward but an "addictive" habit. I began to love jelly very much and always ask to buy two pieces of them (from the nearby shop) when we're on the way back home from school. Mom finds it hard to say No to me since there is no significant reason to do so. Anyway, I will grow out of them one day.

Sometimes she has to buy a different type of packaging - in order to surprise me. So whenever she buys a new big pack, I will bring 2 pieces to school. This is one of the them in the shot taken below.

This "longish" tube shape is better, not so messy if I eat it directly.

Mei Mei can walk!

Mei Mei can walk!!! At 16 months exactly! And so, we captured this beautiful snapshot of her, standing by our door. The old generation was saying, little babies should start to walk at the age of 12-13 month. If it passes, the next lucky month will be 16th month. Well, whether it's plain coincidence or really the truth, Mei did start walking at the age of 16 months. Not stable yet of course, but it's a good start! Somehow, we just feel that Mei Mei has grown up by this picture. She has grown from a tiny pea to now, looks like a fine young lady to us, whom knows how throw tantrums, babbles to herself & giggles very loudly.

Dermoid Cyst

Mei Mei had went for her appointment on her Dermoid Cyst; at her right eyebrow area. It is pretty obvious as she grows older. The Doctor finally decided to operate on her after Mom & Dad insisted. Honestly, they didnt have a very good impression on the KKH Doctors afterall since Mei Mei's hospitalisation. During the 1st appointment on the dermoid cyst, the doctor was still okay. He explained everything in great details to my 2 old folks...and waited patiently for the 2nd appointment which was supposed to be due in 2 months time. But because the cyst seems to get larger, we had brought forward the appointment date & insisted something to be done straightaway. He only sent Mei Mei for some ultra-scan; which turned out to be fine, PHEW!!! 2nd Doctor SUCKS, I would say! Yes, still at KKH we are talking about.
