We had finally went down personally to buy some of the shortlisted bakeries' cakes to try...
Wow, honestly, its really a challenge. Here are nice pictures of cakes we had tried.. We wine mention their names but the cakes are just so-so..

Still we prefer the bigger names. But we had decided to get either from Strictly Pastry or Canele Cakes. The chef at Strictly Pastry was formerly from The Patisserie. So we believe her cakes should be good. Canele is very well known especially their outlet at Paragon. Mom is waiting for their quotes back.

Mei Mei can walk!

Mei Mei can walk!!! At 16 months exactly! And so, we captured this beautiful snapshot of her, standing by our door. The old generation was saying, little babies should start to walk at the age of 12-13 month. If it passes, the next lucky month will be 16th month. Well, whether it's plain coincidence or really the truth, Mei did start walking at the age of 16 months. Not stable yet of course, but it's a good start! Somehow, we just feel that Mei Mei has grown up by this picture. She has grown from a tiny pea to now, looks like a fine young lady to us, whom knows how throw tantrums, babbles to herself & giggles very loudly.

Dermoid Cyst

Mei Mei had went for her appointment on her Dermoid Cyst; at her right eyebrow area. It is pretty obvious as she grows older. The Doctor finally decided to operate on her after Mom & Dad insisted. Honestly, they didnt have a very good impression on the KKH Doctors afterall since Mei Mei's hospitalisation. During the 1st appointment on the dermoid cyst, the doctor was still okay. He explained everything in great details to my 2 old folks...and waited patiently for the 2nd appointment which was supposed to be due in 2 months time. But because the cyst seems to get larger, we had brought forward the appointment date & insisted something to be done straightaway. He only sent Mei Mei for some ultra-scan; which turned out to be fine, PHEW!!! 2nd Doctor SUCKS, I would say! Yes, still at KKH we are talking about.
