CUPCAKES MANIA Mom has shortlisted a few more nice pictures of cupcakes... Here are some of them. By this week, we will head down to their retail outlets to try out their cupcakes. Then we should be able to get the verdict. Still like Patissier though but price is too steep.

CAKES SCAVENGER We had finally went down personally to buy some of the shortlisted bakeries' cakes to try... Wow, honestly, its really a challenge. Here are nice pictures of cakes we had tried.. We wine mention their names but the cakes are just so-so.. Still we prefer the bigger names. But we had decided to get either from Strictly Pastry or Canele Cakes. The chef at Strictly Pastry was formerly from The Patisserie. So we believe her cakes should be good. Canele is very well known especially their outlet at Paragon. Mom is waiting for their quotes back.

Rafferty's Garden Flavor - Spinach + Apple + Broccoli + Pea Hey, Mei Mei loves it! Thank God! Mom was just trying her luck to let her try out some nice foods. Although these are kinda processed food, but they are all natural and organic! See the way Mei Mei eats, and she kept screaming to ask for more and more! Ok, the next time, Mom is gonna buy another flavor to try out. Mei Mei is already on Brown Rice Cereal, occasional Porridge, Heniz Teething Rusks, some bread crumbs to munch... New foods to try ---- some soft biscuits... To be honest, Mei Mei is on a faster pace than me; compared to when I was like her age. So maybe thats why people said - Girls are more mature than Boys. Looks like there is some truth in this!

Colourful Swiss Rolls from Crystal Jade Kitchen I am back to my cakes again... Wooh, very nice swiss rolls. BUT I told Mom I only take Orange Flavor & Chocolate Flavor... So, the Coffee Flavor & Pandan Flavor were taken up by Dad & Mom respectively. We do not know since when, I began to lose interest in plain cakes. But only Chocolate cakes fancy me. Chocolate cakes are not very healthy - but again, kids will always be kids. And Mom always buy Chocolate cakes for me... Too pampered and spoilt!!!

Just when Mommy is about to get some new clothes for me, Aunty Sammi had given us a bag of hand-me-down clothes. They all look so brand new and we really appreciate it. They are all very nice. These nicest clothes - Javier had specifically informed Aunty Sammi to pass the clothes to me and not to anyone else. Because these are all his favorite clothes! Honestly, they are all very nice! Now, Mom can save up a little bit until maybe end of the year for some new year clothes 2013. As we do not usually hang outside most of the time, except some weekends spent at my Por Por house. Mom does not believe that I need to wear too formally to Por Por House... because likely to dirty my clothes every now & then, since I am kinda "careless" in handling my food at times... Anyway, BIG Thank You to Javier! You had always make my days wonderful!

To spend this special moment with this special person out there... is truly a happiness Holding hands together, makes you feel the warmth & true sincerity within two hearts... I wish Mom & Dad forever in love, and always in love.

Just last weekend, we went to Javier house again to visit Aunty Sammi, Javier & Jerica. Aunty Sammi has became very skinny. Mom was so worried about her, hopefully, she will gain back all the fats again after her ordeal is over. As usual, I played with Javier but we either ended up arguing, scolding each other or get scolding from either Mom or Aunty Sammi... Kekeke, its just so funny. Again, we really still enjoyed each other's company because we can play the same things together. As what I had always say - Boys Talk, Mommy wont understand... Well, when I left Javier House, Javier was crying very badly because he missed me so much. I was very upset as well because I cannot stay over at Javier House. Mom promised that I will have a chance next time. I will look forward to this day. Talk about Javier's sister, Jerica is such a sweet little pie. She is about 13 months old. Mei Mei is still very petite at the age of almost 11 months old. Well, we have no complaints BUT worries only. No doubt, Doc had said before, she will catch up at the age of 2, we are still quite skeptical about what the doc had said. Anyway, we will just keep our fingers crossed to observe Mei Mei's gradual milestones. Eh, one thing that sends consolations to Mom is, Mei Mei has such big pair of beautiful sparkling eyes... She is just a beautiful baby. At times, Mom does envy babies whom are  larger in sizes and probably even chubby. Because she believes that chubby babies are healthy. But Dad said, its not everytime the case. So Mom remembered one of her colleagues, just gave birth a baby girl not long, less than 3 months old already weigh 7+ KG (approx. 15.4 lbs). Her PD told her that Baby must go on diet... !!!! Mom was like, "Huh, asking a baby to go on diet means to drink lesser milk?! This is so poor thing!". Yes, I fell again after playing with my bolster and I kicked the wastepaper basket and knocked my lips against the floor. Really gave Mom a great fright. She was so worried and yet angry with me for being so mischievious. Luckily, I only hurt my lips and probably some ulcer is gonna appear the next day. But at least, not my teeth. Mom was worried that I would hit my teeth again, and drop another tooth again. As it is, about almost 2 years ago, I dropped one of my tooth and until now, the adult tooth is still not growing... As I love to run about every now & then, even around the house... Mom had strictly instructed our maid never leave the floor wet nor slippery due to whatever reasons, etc, example oily. Again, the kitchen floor was kinda smooth where no one can understand why. Its either greasy or its just "too clean" unbelievably... Mom just have to keep reminding me not to run every now and then.

Honestly, I had never really been very helpful to Mom. Perhaps due to the heavy influence in school, our Teachers often teach us, to help the elderly to carry things, etc. So I decided to help my Mom to carry some plastic bags from the NTUC Supermarket. Awww, it was really heavy man! I cannot carry them for too long and often ask Mom to take over some of them. Actually Mom's main purpose is to "train" me to really be helpful to those whom really need us. Well, we made it back home with both us carrying 2 big bags of groceries. Of course, mine were the lightest of all. And usually contain MY snacks, drinks, etc. That will make me more willing to carry the grocery bags... Thats a good training for me and makes me want to carry more stuffs for Mommy in future. Of course, something LIGHT PLEASE, Mommy.

Recently, my appetite for food during dinnertime comes back. I used to eat very little food because I do not really like rice or even noodles sometimes. Somehow, I prefer to have a variety of food each day - as what Mom had realised. Today, Mom didnt cook and we had Hor Fun for dinner. Wow, it was really delicious. Hor Fun has always been my favorite. Again due to my fussiness, there are the few things which I would not eat - namely, egg whites, prawns, pork slices, fish slices. I will only eat the Hor Fun itself with the fish cake slices as well as plentiful of gravy. I kept asking for more whenever I have my favorite dish, Hor Fun being one of them.

From 2nd to 4th Feb, Mom will be away from Singapore. She is attending her company annual Sales Meeting at Jakarta, Indonesia. Well, supposed to be a Sales Retreat Trip, but ended up a real meeting event. Just to share 1 picture which Mom would like to let the rest of the world to know. These few days at Jakarta, she had seen the poorest & worst type of living conditions that one could ever live in. This is to remind us, to treasure what we have on hand, make the best out of the present situation and be contented with it. There are still some people elsewhere whom are much worst than us; the problems that they face everyday such as hunger, penniless, homeless,.... Down here, we are just too pampered. When we already have most of the things, we take for granted and ask for more; or we are just not satisfied. Mom just hope that the poor people will have a better life as time goes by, in any parts of the world.

Mei Mei's 1st tooth finally emerged! In fact, 1st pair of teeth. They look very snowy white and very cute though! We were just so worried about her teething problem because she had been very cranky for months! And yet, nothing came out from her gums. Its a good milestone and we will await for the next tooth to come again. By the way, it was a hard time taking a snapshot of her small little teeth in front. She just bawling non-stop. This, we would say is the best shot we can take by far...
