Children's Day

No doubt this is my 2nd year of Children's Day, I only celebrated this year in school (childcare) and with my family. When Mom went to pick me up from school yesterday, I had a huge Goodie Bag filled with food, pressies, etc...




















I was too excited; as I came out from the school, I pulled out one packet of cheezeballs & asked Mom to open it. Teachers standing at the door was smiling at this amusing scene. Somehow, it raked up some of Mommy's childhood memories whereby, she used to receive children's day gift from teachers every year from Junior School (Kindergarden to Primary 6)...Once she graduated from Children's Day, Youth Day will be the following "kids day" she had then.

Children's Day is a public holiday for all schools and some of the childcare centres are closed as well. So, we went for a good lunchie this day at Marche.























We had a great time eating & I have my own set meal.

Mei Mei can walk!

Mei Mei can walk!!! At 16 months exactly! And so, we captured this beautiful snapshot of her, standing by our door. The old generation was saying, little babies should start to walk at the age of 12-13 month. If it passes, the next lucky month will be 16th month. Well, whether it's plain coincidence or really the truth, Mei did start walking at the age of 16 months. Not stable yet of course, but it's a good start! Somehow, we just feel that Mei Mei has grown up by this picture. She has grown from a tiny pea to now, looks like a fine young lady to us, whom knows how throw tantrums, babbles to herself & giggles very loudly.

Dermoid Cyst

Mei Mei had went for her appointment on her Dermoid Cyst; at her right eyebrow area. It is pretty obvious as she grows older. The Doctor finally decided to operate on her after Mom & Dad insisted. Honestly, they didnt have a very good impression on the KKH Doctors afterall since Mei Mei's hospitalisation. During the 1st appointment on the dermoid cyst, the doctor was still okay. He explained everything in great details to my 2 old folks...and waited patiently for the 2nd appointment which was supposed to be due in 2 months time. But because the cyst seems to get larger, we had brought forward the appointment date & insisted something to be done straightaway. He only sent Mei Mei for some ultra-scan; which turned out to be fine, PHEW!!! 2nd Doctor SUCKS, I would say! Yes, still at KKH we are talking about.
