Patch back with Yi-Cheong?
I had a "fierce" argument with Yee-Cheong (Yee Yee's husband, and that is my Uncle) some time ago... probably few weeks ago. It started with my mishaviour as I purposely stood in front of the TV and block his view from watching. See, this is how ridiculous I was and am,,, still. Well, so he raised his voice at me, "啊，走开啊!" (In English, it meant - Ah, Stand Away ah!"). I got the shock of my life, so is everyone of us including Mom, Yee Yee and Po Po. The next thing we know, I was bawling at the top of my voice and shouted back at him without hesitation. Well, the Yee Cheong whom I had known, soft-spoken guy whom seldom speaks at Po Po house and always keep a low profile finally voiced out!
Mom felt embaressed of course. But she quickly neutralised the environment by telling Yee-Cheong it is OK to scold me as long as I am at fault. And it is a must to teach me. Well, you cannot imagine Yee-Cheong's embaressed face as well. He apologised to Mom! And even said he lost his patience because it was not the first time I did that. Well, Mom was furious of course with me. But she kept her cool and of course told Yee Cheong it is perfectly fine and told Yee Cheong not to take it to heart. Anyway, Mom is not angry with Yee Cheong but in fact was very apologetic to have caused such distress all these while and she isnt aware of this at all.
Well, I learnt my lesson. Since then, I dare not do the same thing again. History did not happen itself anymore. But Yee Cheong was feeling extremely guilty towards Mom. He also did tried to talk to me again. LOL!!
Just today, I can actually sit beside him on the same sofa and watch TV together. Although we didnt hug each other to watch,... (*wink*), but it is a good start. Mom is glad to see this because a family should stay together and 家和万事心。Even if it is Po Po's place, we should all stay close & united. This is how a family should be... and that is when one will feel comfortable with each other's presence, at all occasions.
