Orientation at Childcare


This morning, I went for a short orientation at Bright Kids (childcare). Well, the teachers are friendly as they briefed Mommy on quite a number of things... We all went for a walk round the neighbourhood at 9am. As Mommy tagged along, I didnt want any teachers to hold my hand, neither do I want Mommy to hold my hand. So at first thought, she got worried since I will be on my own on 02Jan without her. Teachers convinced her; that all toddlers are the same. Once their Mommies are not around, they will be left with no choice but to hold the teachers' hands.

After a good 30mins, we went back to the centre to wash hands. Some of the olders kids would wash their hands and style their hair... thats a funny scene though when they are only a year or 2 older than me.


Right after this, I started to play on my own... and of course the teachers tried to lure me to some playground (indoor) and toy blocks... As I was enjoying myself, Mommy sneaked out and nowhere to be found. She went home; left me there for about an hour plus.


When she went back, she saw me sitting down having my lunch. One of the teachers told her that, I did attempt to look for Mommy as I walked to the gate and stayed a for awhile. Since no soul of her can be found, I walked back and continue to play.

Well, is this a good sign or probably its just a short period so I didnt fuss? Anyway, thats a good try afterall.

Dermoid Cyst

Mei Mei had went for her appointment on her Dermoid Cyst; at her right eyebrow area. It is pretty obvious as she grows older. The Doctor finally decided to operate on her after Mom & Dad insisted. Honestly, they didnt have a very good impression on the KKH Doctors afterall since Mei Mei's hospitalisation. During the 1st appointment on the dermoid cyst, the doctor was still okay. He explained everything in great details to my 2 old folks...and waited patiently for the 2nd appointment which was supposed to be due in 2 months time. But because the cyst seems to get larger, we had brought forward the appointment date & insisted something to be done straightaway. He only sent Mei Mei for some ultra-scan; which turned out to be fine, PHEW!!! 2nd Doctor SUCKS, I would say! Yes, still at KKH we are talking about. Mei Mei can walk!

Mei Mei can walk!!! At 16 months exactly! And so, we captured this beautiful snapshot of her, standing by our door. The old generation was saying, little babies should start to walk at the age of 12-13 month. If it passes, the next lucky month will be 16th month. Well, whether it's plain coincidence or really the truth, Mei did start walking at the age of 16 months. Not stable yet of course, but it's a good start! Somehow, we just feel that Mei Mei has grown up by this picture. She has grown from a tiny pea to now, looks like a fine young lady to us, whom knows how throw tantrums, babbles to herself & giggles very loudly.

Cake-Tasting I

Today, we decided to try out some cakes at Pine Garden before we place our order with them. Here are some of the cakes we had bought and tried. Next week, Mommy gonna make a trip down to Pine Garden again to buy somemore... So far, Daddy is only impressed with their B l a c k f o r e s t . Mommy shares the same sentiments but also love the Lychee Martini . Personally, she feels that Lychee cake is something extraordinary.. but but, Daddy does not really fancy fruit cake... so... We only shortlisted B l a c k f o r e s t today.
