Tau Sar Piah [豆沙饼]



Delicious Chinese Pastry - Bean Paste Biscuit.
This is situated along Balestier Road 639, Loong Fatt Eating House & Confectionery. In fact, there are many others, selling the same along the same road or even opposite. Mom and Dad still prefer this old plate and apparently is the best. Well, this time they queue up for 45 mins just to get 20pcs. There were people who bought 40, 50 or more at a time. This is how the shop looks like.



Of course, I was given a nice piece to try as well once we hit home. Dad bought 10 each for sweety and salty flavors. I cannot resist the aroma of the butter; crispy flaky skin as it slipped down my throat. I kept asking for more.

Mei Mei can walk!!! At 16 months exactly! And so, we captured this beautiful snapshot of her, standing by our door. The old generation was saying, little babies should start to walk at the age of 12-13 month. If it passes, the next lucky month will be 16th month. Well, whether it's plain coincidence or really the truth, Mei did start walking at the age of 16 months. Not stable yet of course, but it's a good start! Somehow, we just feel that Mei Mei has grown up by this picture. She has grown from a tiny pea to now, looks like a fine young lady to us, whom knows how throw tantrums, babbles to herself & giggles very loudly.

Dermoid Cyst

Mei Mei had went for her appointment on her Dermoid Cyst; at her right eyebrow area. It is pretty obvious as she grows older. The Doctor finally decided to operate on her after Mom & Dad insisted. Honestly, they didnt have a very good impression on the KKH Doctors afterall since Mei Mei's hospitalisation. During the 1st appointment on the dermoid cyst, the doctor was still okay. He explained everything in great details to my 2 old folks...and waited patiently for the 2nd appointment which was supposed to be due in 2 months time. But because the cyst seems to get larger, we had brought forward the appointment date & insisted something to be done straightaway. He only sent Mei Mei for some ultra-scan; which turned out to be fine, PHEW!!! 2nd Doctor SUCKS, I would say! Yes, still at KKH we are talking about.
