My Allergy to Peanuts

Image
Mom just found out that I am allergic to Peanuts. Last few weeks, I had peanut butter bread at Por Por house, school as well. Then, I started to have rashes on my legs, hands and even cheeks. Por Por tried to apply some cream on the affected areas. So far, luckily the rashes went off. But it came back again after I took peanut butter bread in school. So Mom deduced that I have this allergy towards Peanuts. Only way is to refrain myself from Peanuts. Beginning it was rather hard because it is not easy to control not to eat something that I like especially when I am only a kid... Well, Mom will have a long way ahead to discover the further allergys I will have. Hopefully I will not inherit Mom's sensitive skin, or even Por Por's skin. Both Por Por & Mom cannot eat too much crabs. Otherwise, rashes will start to emerge on their skin. Por Por's condition is worse perhaps because her age is catching up. Mom is still okay so far. But she has to use those "super moistu

Mei Mei's 1st TV Toy

Image
Mom bought this toy from Robinson Expo Sale... Sorry but honestly Robinson/John Little Sale does not have much array of toys. Mom only managed to get this little toy because it has nice musical tones to catch Mei Mei's attention. Nice little entertainment for Mei Mei because she often wants attention and accompany. This toy cost less than SGD20 I think. Mom forgotten about the exact price. She is still looking forward to her Barbie Spree when Mei Mei grows older! Quick Mei Mei!!! I want to play with you!!!

1st Attempt on Mac Chic Burger

Image
This is honestly a good try! I had my 1st Mac Chicken burger all myself and I finished them all up! Actually I don't fancy burgers at all. Whenever during our patronage to fast-foods, it's either I had chicken nuggets or French fries or both. Burgers do not strike my mind at all. This is a free burger given after the Xmas performance. And mom thought she wanna blog about to brag to the whole world... Since I don't like to try new foods unless they are appealing to me... That bad? Yes, I'm that fussy... Sorry, Mom -.-

My ART Project

Image
We had this project through creative learning organized by the school and yes, it's FOC. Every month, I will bring back a bag of artworks, drawings & all. This is one of the latest "bag" I brought back. Mom still have to say; she is glad to have made the right choice to move on, to a new school and it's so far doing very well. Despite the long-distance walking every morning & evening to & from school, it's all worth the efforts. Mom is doing it with DELIGHT! And besides this, it had helped Mom to slim down quite a lot through these walking... Brisk walks I would say .

Merry Christmas

Image
Mom & Dad had their Xmas dinner without me this year. It was awesome for me because I stayed at Por Por house over the long weekend. Mom felt weird without me around but had bought a nice Xmas log cake for me. I love the chocolaty taste of every choc-related foods. Can't resist all of them!!! Anyway, Mom cooked the same dishes as usual as Daddy loves it this way. We gave Shepherd Pie a miss since we had it last year. Perhaps we should have something different next year - Turkey Dinner!!!

Christmas Performance

Image
Before we start to talk about this little Christmas Performance I had; I had accidentally deleted one of the video which Mom took pains to shoot and she was very furious with me. Luckily, she still had this video of the "practice" that was in the Multi-Purpose Hall before we went for the actual show. This is how we practised on that very day. We had an enjoyable performance. Mom was just thinking, kids like us being 4 years old probably didnt even know what is the performance all about and know nuts about stage fright. We were just having fun on the stage, (probably), not even knowing there are tons of spectators watching us from the bottom. Maybe a handful of the toddlers will know there are people watching them. But for myself, I dont seem to know which Mom assumed so. Well, Mom didnt even want to ask about this, because it may just affect my next "performance" again probably for the Chinese New Year one. Anyway, Mom's purpose is to allow me to be expose

Journey to Walking Part III

Image
Now, Mei Mei started to be able to stand at least 10 seconds by holding on to the railings. Of course, she is still a little unstable; and still fall off within the cot. She loves to stand actually and seems like wants to walk. Daddy forbided us to buy a walker for her because he is worried that it may affect her knees and eventually looks weird in her walking in future. Actually I didnt have a chance to "walk" in a walker as well. I practised my walking within my playpen. I walked "around" in my playpen and eventually stood up to walk one day at the age of one year plus. Mom is rather sure she can probably walk BEFORE one year old. When Mommy was a baby; she also walked and played in the walker. She raced like any F1 car within the living room (as you know those houses that were 30+ years ago, how spacious they were... unlike now :( small houses). Somehow maybe Daddy finds it dangerous, so he didnt want to buy a walker. That puts us back to the Pink Activity Cent

Mei Mei's teary face

Image
Poor Mei Mei, got the fever virus from Mommy again. Mom did tried to wear a mask but it didn't work out still. Mei Mei is down with fever. Mom gotta endure her bad crying just to sponge her. Poor thing. She cried till her 2 eyes swollen. Now, Mom mastered the skill of sponging her while carrying her. This way, she will cry lesser. And she probably feel more secure this way. Otherwise, to put her lying flat and sponge her, she would look like u had put her into a torture... Because she will cry non stop with all the tears bursting out. Looking at her, pains Mom's heart so much. She would rather herself suffer a longer fever than to let her sweet pea suffer like that.. :(

Playing w Strings

Image
When I was much younger, I also have a thing with strings. Perhaps because they look "interesting". So it intrigued us babies to "dig" further. We can see, Mei Mei was so engrossed in string-playing. She can spend minutes; look as though trying to detach the strings or something.. Looks cute though! Mei Mei probably shares one of the characteristic like me; a very inquisitive person... Curious little angel.

Mei Mei's 1ST Biscuit

Image
Mei Mei had been suffering from teething pain for so long, yet none of her tooth had emerged. So, mom bought some teething biscuit for Mei Mei instead, hopefully to soothe her pain and yet serves as a snack for her. HEINZ TEETHING RUSKS These biscuits are rather hard or are hard actually. It had indeed serve the purpose for a teething baby. Because it doesn't choke a baby, no way for them to bite them off chunk by chunk. Rather, it gets "stripped" off thin layer by layer as Mei Mei suckle and uses her gums to "bite". Overall, it's a good buy. Since Mei Mei had not master the skill of chewing, this teething biscuit would b v useful to her for now.

Journey to walking Part II

Image
Now, Mei Mei had learnt to hold on to the bed rails to support herself to get up and stand. Honestly, this is really a very fast milestone. Mom didn't expect her development to be so fast. Too good to be true. Of course, fast & quick developments are good for a preemie like Mei Mei. The next one, probably would be learning to stand for longer time with support / assisted. Let's see!

Butter Cookies

Image
This box of butter cookies actually looked quite cheapo from the "Value $2 Shop". But when mom took one to try; it's actually quite delicious. Think Mom paid $2.50 for this, can't really remember the exact price. We would say, the taste is comparable to any other butter cookies that look almost similar in the outside packaging. Good buy! And needless to say, I enjoyed them very much. But am choosy though, still prefer & only finished the sugar-coated ones. The leftovers are for Mom to finish up...

My poses

Image
Mom was browsing through her album and realised there is this array of pictures which were not published yet... Yes, they are all me and me! All the different facial expressions with different postures. Somehow, I felt that I am looking more and more like Mommy! Haha, especially my cheeky smiles. Of course these shots also revealed how naughty I'm actually is! Well, it's really greeting out of hand nowadays. Time to go back to school, Mom! U will need to read back the books which you had bought from AMAZON... "Discipline..."

古典美女

Image
Okay, we made our choice - dark pink polka dots one should look good on Mei Mei. She looked really cute in this mini cheongsam. She has this kind of 古典美 in her... Ahh, hope she will grow up to become a sweet demure lady.

Mei Mei's Cheongsam

Image
We decided to let Mei Mei wear a cheongsam during next year Chinese New Year. From the usual motherhood forum; here are three outfits which we had short-listed. We assume she would pretty in this cute little mini cheongsam. Well, Mom wanted to wear one too. But because of the little flabby arms she had, she decided not to for next year. Wait till she had slimmed down really well, she will reconsider again.

Mei Mei face changes

Image
When Mei Mei was born during the first few weeks, she really looked so much like Mommy. Now, as she grows older; her looks changes. She resembles more like Daddy! Haa, good or bad - we won't know until she is much older. Perhaps we wait till one year old, we can see how Mei Mei will look like. The changes that I had went through... I meant face-changes... Quite drastic actually. Maybe Mom should do a montage on this.
