Just wanna share a beautiful doughnut with all of you... This is bought at Takashimaya SC. Yee Yee bought it specially for me, nice isn't it. Yes, I just have a thing for pink. Po Po said it's normal at this age even for boys because small kids like bright & subtle colors.. To Mom, me being a tyrant - like pink & purple, consoled her. Perhaps this goes to show that I do have my own soft spots too..

It hasn't been easy to have me to wear a mask when I'm sick. Somehow I have a phobia towards this. I dunno how to describe... Maybe the doctors whom wore masks, terrified me. So far Mom guessed, this will be the only time I ever wear a mask. Wearing a mask is to prevent spreading the virus to Mei Mei whom is still so vulnerable. Well maybe at this age, I can't understand. Hopefully I will by the time I started to go kindergarten or even primary school. Teachers say, I will listen. And wearing it, it's so uncomfortable. So it just puts me off somehow..

Finally after 3 months of waiting, my school uniform is here! I used wear school t-shirt to school in the morning. Then after lunch, change to another set of t-shirt. So I need to have at least 3 sets to interchange for a week; which is actually not enough. With the new maid, the cycle of putting school t-shirt is screwed... Sometimes I would find my stained t-shirt in my bag early in the morning...Or even no t-shirt in the bag at all... Well, now all been resolved. With uniform to wear in the morning; Mom will check my schoolbag every morning to ensure all are packed properly.

Way before I was born, Dad & Mom have been going to the Chinese Temper for prayers every weekend, be it rain or shine. This perseverance comes from Dad in fact. Mom gets a bit lazy at times but of course, she still tags along. Well, going out on one of the weekends is considered as a family day out eh. Our family day out is very simple. Prayers in the morning followed by brunch. Then if there is something which we need to buy, we will shop a while. Otherwise, we will just head back home. Yes, this is our weekends. Sounds bored, yeah. I dun usually get to go to big playgrounds or amusement parks often. Only once in a blue moon. Well, Mom thinks it's probably good and bad. Good is; I won't be requesting playgrounds every now & then, bad is I'm not exposed that much to outdoors except in school or school outings. Well anyway, there will b more opportunities of such exposure when I touch Primary School in 2 yrs time.

I would say; nowadays Daddy seldom cane me like before. He started to be very nice and lenient. Yes, lenient is the word. Mom is the strict figure now. Perhaps of my recent doings; trying to attract attention & disturbing Mei Mei... etc. Mom gets very fed up and starts to scold me and sorts. Anyway, today Im talking about my Mr Nice Daddy. As long as Daddy comes back early for dinner, I would love to sit down beside him & eat with him. Actually I already taken my dinner ages ago. Because right after cooking, Mom will prepare my share of food. Its either she feeds me while the maid looks after Mei Mei or; maid feeds me while Mom does the babysitting part. Well, maybe because the feeling is good; by just sitting beside Daddy AND eating his share of food, makes me feel comfortable. Just as most people say, eating alone can be quite boring. But sharing food together makes the dish taste more delicious... (snatching of food, etc and insisting that part of chicken nugget is mine wh

We went to Spotlight to get some fabrics. Fabric to make Mei Mei bolster covers... Can't find a nice cover, so might as well get fabric and hand-sew it. Looks nice & that's what we call 爱心枕头...

The best moment to sleep as soundly as possible; is to be in the sarong, with mittens, wrapped in a thin blanket (since weather here is humid & warm), along with a good pacifier. Mei Mei can go on to sleep for a few hours. And the moment she wakes up, it will be feeding time. So I would say, our maid is really having a good life here. No stress and no frills. Her job is simple enough, for now I mean. See the way she looks, just wanna 'pinch' her though (^_^)

Since I joined this school, I became more vocal even than before. The vocabulary that I use; seems to be higher than my level. So I would say, it's a good jump. Here are some of my work done in school. Mom thinks that these are supposed to be for Kindergarten or even Primary school work. Times had really changed; generation after generation.

Now, Mei Mei starts to babble, make a bit of noises here and there when Mommy talks to her. She is still not v responsive yet. Hopefully, she can catch up real soon. She is 6 weeks behind... Deprived of being in the womb for 6 weeks, so to speak. Daddy thinks that she is already doing well. Well, we shall see as she reaches the next milestone!

Mom already started maid training.. Train her to be ready before Mom starts work. Couple of things maid needs to do during mom's presence will be:- Feeding milk & water Routine change of diaper at 3-4pm Wash & Change after poo Change clothes if soiled Put Mei Mei to sleep in sarong So far so good.. Overall score would be 6.5/10. This new maid is lazy, Daddy does not like her. It's only because she is willing to learn to look after baby, hence Mom retains her for the time being. Hopefully she will change to become more diligent...

Mei Mei had went for her appointment on her Dermoid Cyst; at her right eyebrow area. It is pretty obvious as she grows older. The Doctor finally decided to operate on her after Mom & Dad insisted. Honestly, they didnt have a very good impression on the KKH Doctors afterall since Mei Mei's hospitalisation. During the 1st appointment on the dermoid cyst, the doctor was still okay. He explained everything in great details to my 2 old folks...and waited patiently for the 2nd appointment which was supposed to be due in 2 months time. But because the cyst seems to get larger, we had brought forward the appointment date & insisted something to be done straightaway. He only sent Mei Mei for some ultra-scan; which turned out to be fine, PHEW!!! 2nd Doctor SUCKS, I would say! Yes, still at KKH we are talking about. Finally after weeks & days of consideration; discussion with Aunty Helen, Mom decides to buy a brand new rocker instead of getting a pre-loved used rocker. Reasons: - It can be used for sleeping apart from sarong - It can be used for resting before and/or after milk feeds - It can be used for rocking + soothing at non-sleeping times - It can be used for exploring the surroundings while seated - It can be converted into a toddler chair - It can be reclined into 2 positions for sleeping & sitting up respectivel y Mom would like to thank Aunty Helen for her patience and explanation all this while; accompany & accomodating to Mom's nonsenses and questions... She is indeed patient & understanding... If its not her, Meimei would probably not own a rocker because Aunty Helen strongly encourages the purchase of this rocker..  Hence, Mom bought from Mothercare... Mei mei is officially discharged today at 5PM. Hooray!!! From today onwards, anyone sick will have to WEAR A MASK in the family!

Meimei looked so much better on the 4th day... Temperature came down back to normal body temperature since yesterday night... The nurse said that they need to monitor again for today to ensure fever is not coming back anymore. See how energetic I look?

Mom & Dad went back to hospital in the next morning, stayed till 5pm+ and went back home to settle ME!!! Then 8pm+ leave for hospital again to see meimei again... This went on for the next 3 days...  Temperature shot up to max 40+ Celsius last midnight... 2nd day of hospitalization; still looked lethargic & restless. Temperature still range from 28-39 Celsius Today is the 3rd day of Meimei hospitalization... Doctor decides to withdraw some fluid from meimei's lumbar back to check if any infection to the brain and other organs due to persisting high fever... Poor girl as she must have cried alot too since the needle poking her must be rather thick! Urghh!!! I feel so heartpain for her & Mom must have felt it too. She wished she could take her place... Por por came to visit meimei... Mei mei still looked unwell. She dun have much mood to look at people and kept making groaning sounds on and off due to difficulty in breathing... We can see that she didnt sleep w

Fever at 5am plus this morning; temperature at 37.5C... Ilyse was fed fever medicine Calpol. Fever subsided within an hour but went back at higher 38C. No choice but Mom decided to bring ilyse to hospital instead. They went back to Singapore General Hospital whereby there are ilyse's medical records. But the doctor asked them to go direct to KK Hospital instead. Wasted time and straightaway was admitted since fever kept persisting... Poor mei mei, will be going through blood test, urine test... for now, she gotta be on antibiotic drip (2 types) straightaway before the blood & urine test results to determine the cause of the fever...  Mom went home to pick me up from school at 5pm plus after accompanying mei mei in the hospital. She fed me dinner, medicine and put me to sleep. Thereafter, went back to hospital at 8pm+ to accompany mei mei again till 10pm+ then leave for home to rest.  See her two swollen eyes, she must have cried alot due to the needle poking, cold water s

Mom used to take shots of me in various types of sunglasses, i.e. shades. As I was so much younger, I didnt know what was it all about. I just let Mom "doll" me up & take pictures. I do not even know how to pose! Now that Im much older, 4 years old! I know how to make pose, ugly face, angry face and even the "kiam-pah" (欠打) face , ie it meant * gangster look * in English version .

T he more "we" look at Mei Mei iLyse, the more we feel that she resembles Mom. When I was very much younger, say like few days old to months old, people used to say I look like Mommy. Actually I dun really resemble her but only her eyes. So it gives people the 'wrong impression'.  As for my mei mei ilyse, she does have some resemblance of Mom or rather at least 75%. At certain angles, she does have slight resemblance of Dad. Daddy kept saying ilyse looks like him... bleh!!  Those who know Mommy; have a look and see who she resemblances?
