Stroller-less

Image
Yesterday, we went out by Train since Daddy's car was sent for service/maintenance. They had a "Stroller-Less" day in fact. I was asked to walk along with the 2 folks and sat on the train seat beside Dad.. Poor Mom was not able to sit as she knows I will asked to be carried the moment she sat down. Wasnt that bad afterall as without a stroller, they have a lesser chore. But with me walking, of course I started to be "hanky-panky"... I even touched an old man's hand on purpose, ... etc.

Dance rhythm

Form teacher had mentioned to Mom before; I had learnt dancing & singing in cc... So, I may have brought them back home with me... Well, yes. As some music plays, I will use my hands to make some gestures to "dance" with the rhythm... This is another milestone... now I know whats music & rhythms.

Playing Utensils

Image
As I move on, I learnt to open all sorts of things in the household... When I start to play something, I will stay focus & none is able to enter my world unless I I make the initiative to talk first. And I will repeatedly do or play at a same place - my comfort zone. Its feels good especially if Mom sits beside me. I need assurance and companionship. Anyway, Mom found out from the teacher; that I like to play cookery toys.. She attempted to find at some major departmental stores but only play-doh on the shelves... She even combed some old markets but the items are too small (pose a danger to young toddlers). So eventually, I ended up playing with kitchen utensils with cans...

Super Oakley

Image
As we shop around at NTUC yesterday, I was bawling away for Mommy's attention. So, Daddy has no choice but to distract me. He put on his pair of Oakley shades on me... Hey, I didnt know I look so cool eh. Well, the time is not right to get a pair for me yet. Probably when am much older. Especially times are bad now, a frugal lifestyle suits the best.

Sexy Pose?

Image
I had learnt to sit on chairs that are not meant for me... They do pose a danger somehow since I may just jump down if nobody noticed. Anyway, this stage of ours is considered rather "dangerous" as we are halfway exploring new things around us. It can be a dilemma at times. Should Mom just let me go ahead with the "not-so-dangerous" acts and ended up with lessons learnt (hopefully I realised it) or being over-protective by helping me up with each & every single act? Guess the P word comes in handy - Priority. I like to play in the kitchen for one especially during Mom's cooking time (dinner). Hot stoves are around and of course I will try to imitate the way Mom does as she ignites the fire. One of Mom's colleague said to her - she should let me touch a tiny bit of the flame so that I know stove is not a place to meddle about. But Mom did not do that. Since I wanted to be carried as Mom cooks (due to my curiosity to see how food is being cook??).. Mom too

Red Cheeks

Image
As Im naturally fair-skinned, I get red cheeks when my temperature goes up like fever or very warm weather. I looked like some baby in a chilling cold country - Mom likes this. So, even if I go sun-tanning, its not gonna make a diff to my skin color as it'll just get red at the most temporary. Not unless I go for artificial sun-tanning next time. Fair-skinned inherit from Dad; he's even fairer when during his babyhood.

Drawing board

Image
After a tour around Ikea last week; Mom spotted a drawing board / one side blackboard and the other white board. It will come in handy once I start my Nursery. She wants to explore the creativity side of me...Since Im a too fussy chap; I would need something which I can draw conveniently. So this should be the one. Of course not gonna get it now, since I will end up "transporting" it from one place to another...

Horte Park

Image
an extremely HOT day to go Horte Park yesterday... Somehow, it seems to be a wasted trip as we are supposed to go to its playground but we did not reach. Well, below is the starting point of the Seems-Never-Ending-Bridge. as you can see the bridges are real TALL this is even taller... Okay, Mom stopped taking pictures from here as it is way too hot to stay under this burning heat. and I was busy pushing my own stroller - up & down... Well, Im the most comfortable one as I sit in... all the way. Poor Mom & Dad were the ones walking and they finally gave up.. decided to come back again next time round in the wee hours of morning.

Using Fork & Spoon

Image
Usually, I only use a spoon or if not, MY BARE HANDS! Got scolded in fact several times by Mom though. The other day when we were at Pizza Hut; Daddy taught me to use a Spoon together with a Fork. Dunno why, but when am being taught by Daddy, I can learnt much faster. Honestly, Mom does not know the right type of spoon to use for my age now. So, she just keeps stock different types of spoon for me to use. The way I hold my spoon is rather stable now; just that it tends to tilt one side before it reached my mouth. Practise makes perfect! I started to self-feed quite some time ago though most of the time, I made a mess out of my plate & tray. Mom still have to feed me at the end of the day. She is truly looking forward to the day when she can safely leave me alone; to eat myself.

Replace teats again

Image
Because I kept biting my teats; I got complaints from teachers as well as from Mommy. Milk flowed down prominently from the bottle after a few shakes. Well, Avent Teats supposed to be "spill-proof". Mom had gotten Pigeon Wide Neck Peristaltic Y-cut Teats - which can just fit in Avent Bottles nicely.

Brush teeth

Image
In order to cultivate a good oral hygiene; is to arouse my curiosity about Mom putting a plastic thingy into her mouth and make "sounds"... Mom makes it a point to brush teeth with me every morning and in the night before we turn in. Well, I am catching up though the brushing strokes are still not firm yet.

Timberland Shoes (HK)

Image
Yee-yee's trip to Hong Kong; is deinfitely a fruitful trip... since she's rather a spendthrift. She bought a pair of Timberland Trailscape Z Strap shoes... priced at about SGD 58+ ... Honestly, Mom wouldn't spend on such steep-priced items since my birth... Well, but I like it very much and so is Mom & Dad. Size's slightly bigger but its a good choice of Yee-yee since our feet tends to grow faster at this stage. Anyway, Yee-yee seems to have a thing with Toddlers shoes as this is her 2nd pair of shoes for me.

Rain drops

Image
I am w ell fascinated by rain, rain drops that pour down although I do not know the logic of gravity yet. I kept glaring out of the window, caught some "mini waterfall" taking place... I stayed put for quote some time; by the window. Mom wonder - wats so interesting of rain? In any cases; he learnt to cover both ears when he saw lightning. He probably realised thunder usually take place after rays of lghtning...

Daddy dearest..

Image
Daddy had been working late nites recently. So, I didnt get to spend much time with him until today. My routine is - I get ready for bed by 8pm, turned in by 8.30pm... latest by 9pm once in a blue moon. If Daddy does not make it on time by 8pm back for dinner with Mom, I probably only catch a glimpse of him in the next morning for that few minutes. Well, perhaps absence makes the heart grows fonder. Daddy is always greeted by my BIG smile.. whenever he comes home early for the day. The happiness drawn on their faces and its simplicity behind; gets the tough going when the going gets tough.

Mop the floor

This is a very amusing video where Mom captured. I actually know how to clean the floor?? Anyway, probably I had seen so much of my previous maid as well as current - cleaning the floor every now & then. Its really cute that I even know that the cloth needs to be rinsed in the "pail" before cleaning the next area. Could be Mom's next potential helper huh.. the next time when we are maid-less...

Lung Tonic

Image
Yesterday, Mom took time off from Office to bring me to the doc since my cough & flu did not seem to get better... The weird part is; when am at the doc's, I looked perfectly fine... I was prescribed with this lung tonic by Novartis Pharma AG... costs SGD 40.00 per bottle which can last for about a month... Doc suggested to take for about 3months. Well, this apparently will reduce some asthmatic symptoms in babies/kids... Uhm - no, am not asthmatic but am whizzing away in the night during my sleep at times.. this tonic may just strengthen my lungs. Anyway, my running / dripping nose seems GONE.. and hope its for good.

Ikea Desk & Chair Set

Image
We went to Ikea yesterday to get my desk set, some cutleries (which am gonna share with Gor-gor Javier) ... as well; and a table mat for my mealtime (soon). Well, its cash & carry and so we fix them at home. I love this set - wanted to get Little Tikes but thought this would be more colorful. And Mom wanted a rectangle table which will not take up too much space.. At least, this can be pushed to a corner to save space. Some of Little Tikes set...

Who will read to me?

Image
Every morning, I will join in the older kids not to play. But I observe while they play... They like me, I know. They like to touch me, caress me and sometimes kiss me... Uhmm... they are just curious about babies. Furthermore, I am usually the first one to reach school. So, there is no one younger than me until about 10am. This fateful morning, I took out the books and walked to the other partition where all the older kids gather. I placed the books on the floor and see who is gonna read to me.. Well, in the end they took the books and started to read themselves...!!!

Mosquito Bite or Bug's??

Image
I got some unknown bites on my forehead, wrist and leg... Not sure wat actually bit me but am pretty sure they are from my childcare compound... Perhaps due to the recent weather (sudden thunderstorms or if not, scorching hot sun)... Am using J & J Anti-Mosquito Clear Lotion... since after the bites. So far, thank God -- no more bites for now. Mommy's fren recommended California Baby Natural Bug Repellent Spray... not sure if its good. Probably will KIV if J&J does not work anymore... But anyway, talking about California Baby ; this is what Mom would like to take a look at this month's Takashimaya Baby Fair... Cant remember if they carry this brand, but should have... Extracts that captures Mom's attention since my skin seems to be sensitive like Mom... Calendula Cream offers deep hydration, absorbs completely, and leaves skin feeling satiny smooth. Use daily for everyday protection and especially when the air is dry and baby's skin needs relief. Our customers

Self-feed

This is what happens when I learn to self-feed nowadays. Fortunate enough as its good to learn at an early stage; unfortunate is - Mom has a hard time feeding me... Because I rather feed myself than to be fed. The fact is; my grip is not as strong yet. So the spoon will usually slant to the side and thats where the rice will drop to basically everywhere of my high chair, clothes and floor. So, Mom's impatience kicks in and sometimes, mine too! So we "fight"... KO, of course eventually, Mom gotta give in. At times, I do only when Daddy is feeding me because... Im scared of him. Take 1 -> I shook my head & " kick " Mom's spoon away Take 2 -> Ended up, I feed myself

2nd time at Barber

Image
This is my second time at the Barber Shop. The 1st cut was done a week before Chinese New Year.. where I bawl like nobody's business. This time, I did but not as bad as the 1st time. After about 2mins, I kept quiet; settled down & allowed the barber to handle. Mom was fascinated as I just bent my head & tilted it as and when there was a need. of course, I still fidget and made short squeals... in between once awhile. As my hair growth is fast but minimal, Mom decides I should have crew cut or ivy league crew cut until probably the age of 6 (just before Primary School).

Another "pia" 饼

Image
Today, we went to Chinatown to have lunch. On the way, we bought Dad & Mom's hot favourite ~ bean paste biscuit. Some traditional type of biscuit wz bean paste.. Not sure what paste but looks rather delicious to me. Well, as long as its good food, I will eat & want more. Bean Paste Biscuit in plastic wrapper One for me... cut into pieces I really love it... And myself picking up the crumbs
