My 1st Yoghurt

Image
Out of the blue, I talked about Banana Yoghurt. Mom find it weird and so I explained to her. One of these days, I saw my form teacher Ms Nadia having some whitish stuff for lunch. So I asked Ms Nadia about it. She then said, "This is called Yoghurt. U can ask your Mommy to buy Banana Yoghurt for u" So Mom got the story & glad about the good influence I have in school. She did bought Yoghurt for me eventually but it's some Apple & Grape flavors. When I reached home, I opened up the yoghurt excitedly. As I was indulging myself in this delicious milky thingy, Mom caught me having a separate cup of plain water beside me. The best part is, she knew I added water (a lot of water though) in my yoghurt. And it looked chalky. So I got reprimanded for that. Out of anger, I threw the spoon (which I had been using to eat) on the floor and stamped my feet. Mom said, "If u gonna throw temper & stamp your feet again, I will throw away your yoghurt." Well w...

My Crayola

Image
Mom got some Crayola magic pens for me after much consideration. Since I often get my hands dirty, and it's always so difficult to wash them off, Crayola magic pens can washed off easily with just water & a bit of soap. Colors look more vibrate too. I also have this "magic book" with 3 special pens. The tips look and are white in color. But when use the special pen to color on this magic book pages, color appears slowly. It fascinated me of course. And because of this, I had learnt to hold my coloring pen well & know the amount of strength I should exert when coloring. Well, I used to color very hard and papers often got spoilt because of this. So Crayola is indeed a good buy and great deal to grab during Robinson Expo Sale. Online purchases can be made in Crayola websites but only if u join spree.

Help to clear rubbish

Image
Today I volunteered to throw the rubbish bags for Mommy. She was rather taken back by my initiative because I seldom help out in the past. Since Mei Mei borned; it's probably the egoistic side of myself - that I want to be the older brother, I want to be in-charge of the important tasks at home. So besides throwing soiled diapers, soiled clothes into the laundry bag, I will take things for Mom too. Okay alright, of course once in awhile, I will get impatient. Usually because if I'm being asked to throw some things in the kitchen dustbin when the whole kitchen was dark without lights. I would just say, "Dun want, I'm v scared!" Still mom believes; by asking kids to do things for the family is extremely fulfilling because it also builds up the child's sense of belonging & responsibility.

Start saving now!

Image
Save for the rainy days... That's what everybody been talking about now. I also want to save up. I collected all the coins from Mom & Dad, even Yee Yee. I once had a savings of own at close to S$30+... But the purse of $ disappeared altogether. I couldn't find it anymore, so now I have to start all over again. A good habit to save up since young. Thrifty is a good morale to learn from...

Bird lost its way

Image
A bird flew in and seems to lost its way... It stayed in our common bathroom for at least an hour or even more... Sounds scary.., I didn't get to see the real bird but through Mom's hand phone as she caught a snap shot.. It looked timid and even after Daddy shooed it away, after 5mins, it flew back again to our common bathroom. Weird but it probably mistook our bathroom as its owner's. Mom called up SPCA but they didn't want to come to catch.. Perhaps to them, this is small case.. After a long night, It finally flew away when Daddy shooed it again. Eh I want to keep a bird!!! That's what I told Mom. She gave me that corner eye and I know, yeah well to keep a pet is a lifetime commitment. It's just not that right time. We did keep a fish but it didn't work out. Mom still likes her Retriever though! Maltese would be good too but...

Wear uniform by myself

Image
4 years old - my first time to change by myself in my uniform. I am proud of myself, to be able to do so. The next milestone will be to bathe by myself. Initially, I wasn't good at buttons. I will get very frustrated because I just cannot get the buttons right. Now I'm doing perfectly fine. I guess practice makes perfect. Mom's intention is to train me to pack my own bag, unpack it when I'm home as well. Err, this will be a bit tough. But have to give it a try. Our current maid is too lousy. She didn't pack my bag properly... Sometimes short of towel, school t-shirt & shorts, if not would be my undergarments nowhere to be found. Cannot depend on maids totally. Mom still believes that boys need to be trained in a tougher way; in preparation of adulthood especially the responsibility to look after a family well & manage it's own career... Long way man! 加油!

Meimei's 1st Cereal

Image
Healthy Times brown rice cereal...   Pretty decent cereal, suitable for infants first foods. The cereal is in almost powder form. Brown rice but it's white in colour. Yeah, Mom expected the color to be a little brown. Mom mixes the cereal with my daily formula Enfalac. She tasted a small spoonful of it.. It's not too sweet but yet brings out the aroma of brown rice. Mei Mei's 1st feed was messy but afterall, it was a successful one. Unlike me, gotta go through so many rounds and months to let me get accustomed to solids, whereas it's a breeze when we did with Mei Mei. She was responsive during feeding time. Just that she is a little impatient. So the usual bawling still happened cos she wanted to be fed quickly and even asked for more!!! Overall, a good cereal to start off... My first foods was Heinz Baby Cereal though. It took me some time to get used to it. The next thing I know, Mom started oats meal with me at then.

Meimei can hold bottle

Image
Surprisingly, she can hold her bottle pretty well. Of course, she will lose her grip on & off. But so far for her age, it's a good leap. Another reason - Mei Mei is a very inpatient pea. So she needs to drink her milk faster, perhaps that's why she rather hold her bottle by herself to her own comfortable angle. But hey, she did get herself choked at times. So still need to be under supervision and hand-held by Mom.

Meimei's 1st Hat

Image
Finally we got Mei Mei's hat from Baby Fox instead after Mom's online "window" shopping on Gap, Ralph Lauren & Babymallonline websites. We couldn't find a suitable one for her though. In fact, the hat from Baby Fox didn't look fantastic. It just serves a "shelter" from the rain & wind in case. It was Daddy who chose it... Haa, maybe that's why Mom didn't like it. Anyway, she will look for a nicer one though.

My chest of drawers

Image
My Playroom is too messy, and it really looks like a storeroom. Dad decides to get me a chest of drawers to keep my stuffs. Mom had a debate with him. She feels that book shelves would be better since her aim to get more books for me, place them in proper manner so that I can find the books easily. However, Dad feels that book shelves is redundant because it cannot keep some of my stuffs neatly like my color pencils, drawing materials and smaller playing matter. With drawers, not only it can keep the books from the dust (err, yes dust); it also keeps away all my "junk" inside the drawer. Then the whole room will look neater. Even papers can be kept inside one of the drawers. Anyway, we went ahead with Dad's wish. After we got the chest of drawers from IKEA, both Dad & Mom built them up together, meaning to say they DIY together. Ok it does looks pretty good. I packed my stuffs & books together with Mom. Hopefully it's a good stepping stone to the revamp of ...

Mozzie Bites

Image
Poor little Ray, yes that's me! After staying over at Por Por house for 2 nites, I got moZzie bites all over. After some "investigations", Mom deduced the bites did not occur at Por Por house but at the wet market... By standing still at a corner and wait for Por Por to choose her favorite fish, or bargain with the vegetable stall seller, the mozzies were given ample time to poke into my thin layer of skin & suck out the fresh blood of mine.. Aww!! Sounds gross! Anyway, precautions done. Mom brought the insect repellent & California Baby cream for me to apply before & after respectively BEFORE GOING TO WET MARKET. Por Por promised to do it diligently. For now, the bites are just so itchy and painful... Ouch!!!

Food Galore!

Image
She is especially thankful to Aunty Helen whom had brought very delicious chinese water chestnut pastries for her in 2 containers. Honestly, she is one of the very few friends that Mom had; whom is very sincere. Apart from these nice pastries, Mom also started indulge in some nice foods like Kenny Rogers. Wooh! After 2 months of controlled diet, Mom finally broke it & started to eat a bit of better foods. Mom's "baby bump" had started to flatten for now. Of course she still have a bit more to shed off, particularly the flabby arms as well as the hips area. Not easy but that's part of the price to a healthy pregnancy at then. Baby fats -- go go go!!!

Luncheon with Avrielle & Outdoors

Image
We had a great luncheon with Avrielle & Aunty Helen yesterday. But I got a big time from Mommy at the same time. After lunch, we took a walk around at Orchard Paragon. I'm too mischievous to have mess around with one of the boutiques' clothes while Mom was busy looking for Mei Mei's stuffs. I had a long "disciplinary chat" from mom about behavior as well as attitude. Sometimes her high expectations (in me) do serve as a wake-up call to me. Sometimes i will just put them off by forgetting what had been said & taught to me. I belong to the extremes... Extremely bad tempered, extremely mischievous, extremely attitude problem.. If Mom does not rectify my behaviors for now, it's gonna be tougher as I grow older. Now that, yes I'm still afraid of mom, I would still listen to her, hug her after we patch up. What will happen when I grow older? Nowadays it's not easy to find SONS still hug their beloved mothers tight tight when they are much olde...

Power to grip

Image
At the age of 6 months, Mei Mei is able to grasp or rather hold small things well. To recall, I wasn't that "competent". Think I'm only able to grip well at the age of probably 8 or 9 months. Mei Mei developments so far doing pretty good. Mom was glad. She was still so worried back at then... What if she progress slower? What if she couldn't catch up with the rest? What if... & all the "What if (s)"... Hope this is a good start for Mei Mei to progress even better.

Children's Day

Image
Children's Day been changed from 1st October to the first Friday of October. Today, we received goody bags from the school. Again, Mommy needs to filter out all the sweets & chocolates or chocolate-related goodies. God knows since when I started to learn to eat TITBITS! I asked mom for permission to eat TITBITS and of course I got a straight NO from her. After much persuasion, I managed to eat some... Shared with Mom in fact. Well, her intentions is for me not to finish the whole packet of unhealthy TITBITS. She just have to be a little strict with me on these junk foods... Otherwise, it will be horrendous.

Sebamed - Thumbs UP!

Image
During these 6months, Meimei has been using Sebamed Baby Lotion. So far, it is really good especially when she has very dry skin at the initial stage. Now 6months had passed, her skin felt so soft and smell nice even the next following morning. But when it comes to evening, she will have a "nasty" smell as per Mom's feedback... Why, because the current maid didnt bother to clean up her saliva and in the end, her whole body smells of saliva and perspiration. Yes, Meimei tends or seems to perspire more and easily. This sounds like inheritance from Daddy more. Because Daddy doesnt like warm environment and perspires very easily. And because of easy perspiration, body tends to get sticky and smells. Probably because of the combination with his Sebamed lotion, it didnt irritate much on her skin. Well, lets hope that we can get a new maid really soon!!!
