Raincoat

Image
Raincoat - one of the preps for my maiden trip. Noticed the recent heavy downpour that we have in Singapore here; we are only in July and yet the rainfall is for days with thunderstorms often in the wee hours. By the time I got ready for school, it is still drizzling at times. So, in order to ease Mom's burden of carrying me in her arms under an umbrella with all the bags, she got me a raincoat instead. Seems from Disney, a thicker material though. Prior to that, Mom had done a google search on forums; which type of raincoats are better... In fact, the softer ones (that can be bought from pasar malam, wet market, provision shop houses) that priced at less than SGD 5.00 seems to receive more compliments.. because of its more-flexible material, it provides more comfort for the kids. The seems-harder ones are those like under Disney and

My personal soup

Since the day I started having proper meals during dinnertime, I noticed everyone (Daddy, Mommy & maid) has their own bowl of soup. Because of this, I demanded to have my own bowl as well. But since I was not catered in initially, I "grabbed" Mom's instead. God knows when I became so demanding.. I disallowed Mom to drink "my soup" (despite the fact; it was her share in the first place). She got really angry at first, not because I drink hers but towards my "selfish character"; refused-to-share kind of characteristic that worries her. In order to eliminate such situations (whereby Mom has to spent tons of time explaining to me about sharing and be kind), she decides to serve a separate bowl of soup, solely for me only. That solves the entire problem altogether. After that, I know this is my personal soup; everyone has a bowl including me... Instead, I learnt about the rule of being fair within the family, a fair share. Actually, raising a toddler ...

I love Ice-Cream!

Image
This is simply an irrisistable treat ~ Ice Cream... Every child will love it for sure because of its cold sensation. Mom started to let me try a bit of it some time ago and gradually I began to ask for it everytime Daddy bought a Mac Sundae for himself... ( why didnt he buy one cup for me, solely for me I meant... as well? Sob sob ). Anyway, I prefer the Chocolate Sundae, rich creamy chocolate makes me drool. And because of my love for choc, I started to be more fussy in my choice of food again. Nowadays, I do not fancy strawberry flavour anymore, but will ask for either chocolate or peanut butter flavour. These sinful flavours are culprits to my recent cough. Mom tried to change my tastebuds here and there by introducing some new "flavours" to me... but my stubborn character refused to give in to try new stuffs.. (unless they really look delicious and appealing).... urghhhh..... dun ask me to try those brown-looking stuffs and, no green veggies please~

Passport Photo

Image
Mom finds it hard to take a good potrait photo of me even though I had grown older i.e. 3 years old. I will fidget around, can't stand still at all even for that few seconds. Thank God, she managed to snap it at that moment of second when I stopped moving and look into the camera. I got fed up one of the shots because I just cannot get the pose right!! This is one of the preparation for my 1st maiden holiday trip - Applying an International Passport. I do not have any passport-sized photo, so Mom took one for all future uses (in case besides for Passport). Mom's Passport expired - so we will apply online in order to enjoy the SGD 10 waiver off the application fee. Anyway, Mom feels very excited though.. not really about the trip but more in the process of preparations and all. There are so many things to look into in fact... She is reading up on webby like; Travelling with A Toddler, Toddler Checklist, ...etc. More updates to come on our preparatio...

A BIG BUS

Image
Days passed; still did not manage to find any model double-decker bus. Instead, we were taking a walk along the "Pasar-malam" (Street Market). This BIG double-decker bus caught my attention. I yelled, "Mommy, see! Big big bus is here!". So Mom grabbed one of them and thought its a "good catch" for now. At least in the near future, I will not be asking any more "big-big bus" from Mommy. I carried the bus whenever I go (outside). Even when I play at home, I will line my 3 buses up (from the smallest, to the medium and then to this biggest bus). To me, its fun enough.

I am studying with my Mommy!

Image
Usually during the weekends, I will play with some toys and do some reading of my worksheets (Workbook given by the school). Sometimes, I got too carried away - I ended up drawing, coloring my worksheets all over; floor full of toys; with sweets, paper clips and all nonsense, u name it, u will see it. Mom decides to buy some exercise books, to "study" with me instead. The vital part of studying is not only about reading but to be able to write. So, I started off with simple numbers & alphabets. It was tough at first but fun! She hopes to prepare me for my Kindergarden class in about a year plus' time. Hopefully, it will be smooth sailing by then. Nowadays, its not only about the standard of living that had went up. Our schools here, had raised their standards higher as well. Whatever Mommy had studied in Primary 2-3 (very junior level) is being taught in Primary 1 instead. If we do not keep up with the pace; its no longer about losing out to people anymore. It will be...
