Mummy's Birth Story
Its a long journey for Mummy to come to this last stage of Pregnancy now.. it is a company of laughter, humour, tears, hardship, patience and much much more tolerance... Thank you Aunty Helen, Aunty Knottsy, Aunty Cass, Aunty Cheezel, Aunty Jolene and Aunty Kono... who had walked with Mommy thru-out the whole journey... All thanks to Singapore Motherhood Forum whom had brought us all together.
Well here's how Mummy's birth story started off...
She was 1cm dilated since 11May but I refused to come out from her comfy womb yet.. Not sure if this an early sign of my naughtiness... Actual Due date is on 16th May. At intial stage, it was a planned Caesasarian since my head did not turn down. But at the very last minute (ie 36th week), I turned! Since then, she had been waiting, waiting and waiting still. Mom then decided on induction but she is worried at the same time.. She did not disclose to anyone at first. Well, Mom is counting her blessings to have a very experience gynae - Dr Yeoh Swee Choo, whom advised her not to go into Induction too early as Emergency Caesar might come in since cervix is not ready yet... Not only its gonna be double costs, but it may pose dangers... So it is decided that induction to be done 1 day before the EDD...
06.45am ~ Mummy & Daddy reached Mount Elizabeth Hospital.
07.00am ~ Mummy was strapped to CTG; given Enema to clear bowels.
08.00am ~ Started on Oxytoxin Drip.
08.30am ~ Burst Water Bag ~ Contractions @ 5mins interval.
09.30am ~ Contractions @ 2mins interval.
10.30am ~ Epidural administered.
12.00pm ~ 7cm Dilated. Mummy napped while Daddy went for lunch.
01.00pm ~ 10cm Dilated. Im ready to come out!
02.00pm ~ Dr Yeoh came ~ 5 Pushes!!!!! And IM born!
